The documentary debuted tonight. It's good. Hint: we had a good draft http://www.nba.com/video/channels/nba_tv/2014/06/09/84draft-olajuwon-picked-first.nba// <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/rMWHFNekHBA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/Pa2xRWVIdgQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...recalls-olajuwon-jordan-led-1984-draft-class/

They just had to show that ****ing Stockton shot. Really cool though, the stuff about Oscar Schmidt was really interesting.
suspicious non-believer Rudy T predicted this, he was talking about Clutchfans <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/5-1jgNhopNo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

thanks for sharing that. I didn't get a chance to see it live, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'd recommend that anyone that enjoys the history of basketball should watch this!
It should be a must for Rockets fan. There are a bunch of players that we love from that draft that played for the Rockets. like these guys
Thank you very much for sharing the full documentary, it is fascinating to watch it, I love the NBA's documentaries.
Wasn't there a rumor that Portland offered Clyde Drexler and the number 2 pick that year to Houston for Ralph Sampson, but Houston declined? So conceivably, Houston could of had a team with Hakeem, Clyde and Jordan all in their youth, since they probably wouldn't have picked Bowie with Olajuwon. Kind of crazy how one decision could have changed everything. Hakeem with Jordan would have been a dynasty. Though I do see some difficulties with Clyde and Jordan but Clyde could have been flipped again. I don't fault the Rockets for not taking that route though. Ralph just came off an impressive rookie year and adding Olajuwon would have made the Rockets a contender for years to come. Think if Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid played together and reached their potential.
While I understand your comparison, Embiid and Davis are nowhere near the talent ceiling of Olajuwon & Ralph.

Hakeem and Clyde both mentioned that offer in their respective books. I'm inclined to believe that it's true. It's the greatest what-if in Rockets history.
