There will not be a vaccine by then. It will take months (possibly even years), at a bare minimum for a vaccine to be created and properly tested.

I wish NBA would start a WWE Network like streaming service. Like every game in NBA history available to stream.

I can access games back to the 2012-13 season (including playoffs) via League Pass. Any recommendations on some classic rockets games I should re-visit?

One option currently being trialed in Australia is that existing drugs for other infections (ie malaria) are showing potential to stop COVID-19. If this proves successful it will provide a much speedier to market option vs the process to get a completely new vaccine to the general public

    here's your update:

Dr Fauci mentions this Phase 1 trial in today's press conference with Trump, buts explains still at least another 1 yr out. So, his original estimage of 12-18 months remains correct ... (with now being the 2 month point).

    True.. flu actually hurts children.

The best description of covid-19 is a strong flu (minus the effect on kids).

I don't doubt that there's ignorant ****heads out there who still think this.

You should all just shut the **** up until it's over for all of our sake. But if you don't, stay home at least

    Still think what?

Type out exactly what you think my thesis is.

I bet you can't. Why? Because you'll sound stupid if you do.

    It's a public health matter.

Nobody needs internet male telling us it's not that bad. In fact it its the opposite. That's why everything has changed overnight.

Grow up and stop being such a sensitive twit.

Exactly. I'd actually called covad a 'strong' flu, a super flu. But that guy is a coward so I knew he wouldn't dare respond directly to what I said, only give weak deflection type thangs. He's been a simp for long while on these boards.

Repeating the same incorrect bs over and over doesn't make it correct.

This isn't the flu. Use your brain and learn something rather than being a parrot and repeating what you heard someone say.

No it is not like the flu. Stop saying it is. You are being obtuse for no reason.

I've had more than my fair share of disagreements with Sam, but he is right. It is people who aren't taking this seriously that are making it a bigger problem. No one is saying to panic, but treat this like it is a train coming down the tracks. If you get out of the way quickly and change course then their is no trainwreck. If you wait until the last second after you realize there is a major problem then it's too late and you get run over.

It's not *exactly* like the flu, but it's similar.

You aren't even arguing against what I'm saying.

Stop being difficult for no reason.

    Bad analogy

Only elderly and people with pre-existing problems get 'run over'?

    Try again

A flu does not typically cause multi organ failure and severe respiratory syndrome.
    In the rarest cases.

Some even have lasting effects on their lung. Much more infectious at that.

We can stave off the common cold, the common flu better as there are vaccines, and the immune system can handle a flu in the most cases.

If you want to call it a flu, at least call it a 'killer flu for the elderly, and super flu for the rest of us'.
