I love this time of the year. Currently if you go look at the box score of the Bulls/Wizards game on ESPN you will discover that Walt Lemon Jr. and Thomas Bryant are the top performers with 39.1 seconds left in the game. Also, I'm rooting for the Spurs and the Grizzlies tonight. How often do I get to root for those guys? Never.
the spurs are trash now, the nuggets are not doing anything special on defense. the spurs are just missing shots
Atlanta knocks off Philly. Good for us if we end up meeting the Sixers in the Finals; puts them 1 game back and the Rockets own the tiebreaker.
Sixers lose to Atlanta (without Embiid they seem to be really an average team), kinda good for us thinking about a potential final. Spurs choking but i'm not surprised, Softridge and Dechokezan are just not that good. Memphis starting 5 btw: Dorsey Wright Washburn Holiday Rabb ...yep, don't get your hopes up, i wish we still had to play the Grizzlies...
It's definitely just the Bucks and Toronto with Boston having an outsider chance but they seemed more disorganized than last playoffs. That is the East for you.
Lol just because Philly has a couple of flawed Allstars, ppl think highly of them. They still have some chemistry issues, it won't go away. People must love what they see on papers all the time. You cannot just try buy and trade all the pieces in a short time and call it a championship team. Doesn't work like that, takes years and even decades of planning and gelling.
Suns up 11 on Utah early. A Jazz loss coupled with a Rockets win tonight clinches home court advantage in the 1st round for the Rockets.
The Spurs suck so much on the road. They are 14-24 on the road while all other west playoff teams have a winning road record.
I won't because what they have done last year, I know, Irving probably can't carry a team on his back but you never know in the playoffs. I like them younger guys more than Philly's for now. Like last year Philly's team can only surprise positively or negatively. Butler is an Allstar, Harris is borderline but they lost tons of depth in these trades. Simmons still can't shoot and Embiid is more than a little injury prone. Brett Brown is decent but I prefer Brad Stevens.
Fair enough, and of course if Embiid gets injured i'd take Boston anyday, but with Embiid i don't really know, i mean, they did lose a lot of depth and i actually don't really like how they built this roster, but Boston just doesn't seem like the same team they were last season, probably some lockeroom problems related to Irving against the young guys etc...i don't know.
I really didn't expect following things last year too. Playoffs are not just about execution, surprises happen. Oladipo and Pacers giving Lebron and Cavs hell. Deep playoff run by the Celts with a depleted lineup. Philly playing inconsistent ball. Toronto without Kawhi fell to Lebron in a sweep. The West seemed to go according to plan. Oh yeah, Pelicans swept 3rd seed Blazers.
