this L has nothing to do with injury or ejection...it was a game they thought they had in the bag before the game started
I watched the game after in the 2nd when Denver was up at least 10 pts...... they looked they were in control. Then Murray sprained his ankle and went out, and Wizards turned it up. Jokic was still keeping them in the game within 2-3 pts. Got ejected, Wizz got a more comfy lead. Those 2 were their 'leaders'. Top 2 scorers and playmakers. http://global.espn.com/nba/team/stats/_/name/den
The play was EASILY ejection-worthy under the current rules. Soooo, was DeMarcus...... 1) pretending it was a bad call ?? or 2) really not knowing ?? 1) I refuse to believe he really didn't know. Actor.
And the fact that the Rockets haven’t played well against the Clippers since the trade. Chris Paul hasn’t had one good game against them. And they play the Rockets tough and the Rockets seem to not have an answer. Add to the fact that the team looks a lot better after the trade deadline than they did before. Not a good matchup for the Rockets.
Clippers have played strangely yet effectively without shooting the 3 that well collectively. Look at their bench, Sweet Lou, Montrezl Harrell, J. Green, Wilson Chandler and Garrett Temple. Those are starter material, better than majority of their Starters.
I'm looking at the seasons series and the Rockets are a much different now too. I'm actually feeling a bit better knowing Rockets lost those 2 games when Ennis, MCW and Melo were on the team. Rockets are better defensively. Rocket still trash on the boards so Montrezl's energy still scares me. Rocket haven't played the Clippers with CP3 AND Harden yet. Tobias also killed the Rocket, but he is gone.
i didnt watch the game and I do trust your opinion, but the very fact that i called the upset makes me right here..it was a classic tarp game...playing down to the level of competition you are a WC POWERHOUSE(tied for the 1st seed) missing a player or not you come out strong and blow out the leastern conference baby seal in the first...you just dont let them hang around with you until the 3 minutes left to play... i am going to denver stiffs right now to have a nice dosis of schadenfreude life is beautiful
Because Denver isn't a good team in the postseason. As I said I looked at their age, they are very young and still inexperienced. Veterans like Millsap are either not good enough or just not good leaders, and they only have so many 'old' players. They are like the opposite of the Rockets who had lots of veteran leadership but little youth in the past. Anybody would take old age and experience over youth and Inexperience, in the Playoffs at least. The key was to find balance. That said, they could only surprise and make a run.
