Thunder lost like bad. Westbrook has lost it . He looked disinterested last night. Thunder have not played well lately.
Westbrook has my vote for most likely to go from all-star to scrub the quickest (already trending that way). I've always felt that way
Westbrook's biggest fight is time now. He's a 30 year old PG that relies on athleticism, but has also had a history of knee injuries. Closest comps are Kevin Johnson, Gary Payton, Tim Hardaway, and Allen Iverson. - Johnson is Westbrook's closest comp according to Basketball Reference. Basically was good until he was 30, got hurt the next year, lost his starting job, and retired the year after. Johnson, like Westbrook, was never a good shooter, and once that athleticism was gone, he was done. - Payton is basically the other end of the spectrum as he was great until he was 34-35. But, Payton was extremely durable with only one season before he turned 35 where he played less than 79 games. Westbrook's already had 3 seasons well under that mark. - Hardaway's another good comp even though he was never a scorer first. Hardaway was still pretty good until he was 32 when things started going downhill fast. He also suffered from knee injuries early in his career which cost him one full year at one point. Difference between Westbrook and Hardaway was that Hardaway could shoot; for the last 9 years of his career, he never shot lower than 34.4% from three. Westbrook has never shot that well even with similar attempts. - Iverson is a good comp due to usage and injury history. Iverson was great up until he turned 31 (also when he was traded to Denver). At 32, he was still really good, but he never played more than 57 games in a season after that and was nowhere near the same player.
Guy loses is cool still even being a vet way to easy. When Klay fouled him and refs missed it he just lost it. Okc will be out in 1st rd tbh.
