Yup. At about the 8-minute mark, D'Antoni screamed at the official for several minutes... it almost looked like he was trying to get a technical. Wouldn't call anything. Here, Dirk said one word, and out comes the T. (And of course, Dirk was exactly right.)

AGAIN! So basically, if you're a Laker, you can scream and berate the official for minutes. If you're an opponent, you can't say one word without being T'd up.

 

Well he did foul Bryant. I don't think the refs have been unfair these past few minutes. They called a lot of ticky tacky stuff on the Lakers...they are just being unfair with these Techs.

The point is the three-point swing on technicals. D'Antoni pulled a hissy fit for several possessions... didn't get a technical. Dirk and Mayo say a combined two words, they get immediate technicals. That's pretty much the ballgame.
