Low scoring game in LA tonight. A lot of guys playing against their former team. It should be a good finish.
I refuse to believe this is good defense. The offense is painful to watch, so many careless turnovers.
Big dick CP3. God damn, we ****ed up by trading him for WB. I think we would have won it all with him this year.
Wow... Rivers FIRST NBA coach to use a challenge correctly. Had he wasted it on an earlier moment they lose this game. EDIT: Yep, that was a huge challenge. It makes no sense to use your challenge before like the last 2 minutes. You may as well just sit on it and expect the refs to blow a crucial call like that.
You can never trust gallo in the clutch. Cp3 still a great player, but he just cannot beat people off the dribble anymore.
Yikes. Okc under .500 and cp3 leading one of the worst offenses in the league. Superstars win games like that. Such a fall off from a great player.
Me too. On one hand I’d like to see him on a contender, on the other hand he is still good enough to tip the scales for a team that is already very good and could lessen the rockets chances. Imma need him to stay where he is for this season. I’m sorry Chris you deserve better
What if you overturned 2pts earlier, then they're up 3 before the Harkless foul? I'm sure this is how some coaches think: You can't challenge without a full timeout. And you can only use 2 timeouts in last 3 minutes, so you lose extra timeouts. Since you lose timeouts at the 3 minute mark, if you have more than 2 remaining, you generally need them for time mgmt in close games. Consider how many times a team uses their last timeout to call a last play, and that play has the foul to challenge that you are worried about. Are you critical that they didn't have a timeout to use to challenge, when they needed it to stop the clock and call the play? Or are you mad that they never challenged earlier when they had timeouts, prior to losing them at the 3 minute mark. also note, only fouls can be challenged in last 2 minutes.
I just think we approach the end of games differently. You could say what if he challenged the first foul and saved his team 2-3 points, would anyone go back and really look at that foul? I think teams play a lot more loose and feel each other out at earlier points in the game. I think that last 2-4 minute period in a close game is when you should challenge. They need to change the challenge rules really, I think you should keep your challenge if you win your challenge...but, given how the Rockets have lost games basically on blown calls in the clutch I'd prefer to have a challenge then. Doc having this challenge was massive though, otherwise Gallo goes to the line for a possible tie or take the lead if he doesn't choke the FT shots and now the Clippers would have had to make a game winning shot to win the game. I just think that challenge has a ton more value in close games at the end.
