http://tbt.blogs.nba.com/2013/01/29/warriors-at-cavaliers-7-p-m-et-3/?ls=iref:nbahpts Barnes (Knee injury cause of the dunk), Curry (ankle), Bogut (ankle).. All not playing today.
since being forced to view my local team via alternative methods, I find myself viewing a lot more NBA games than just the local team. looking forward to vasquez v nash.
Greivis Vasquez 2nd in the league in assists? Can't wait to see him in the bright lights of Hollywood.
I know it was the Cavs, but still -- they were missing those three starters AND Carl Landry tonight, and still won. Klay Thompson had 32 points and Jarrett Jack went for 26 and 12 assists (Jack's efficiency this year is impressive). Warriors are now 28-17 and they are one of only 5 West teams (8 in the whole league) with an above .500 record on the road. Rockets have yet to play them ... will be interesting to see how they match up.
And to think about it.. They are also missing Brandon Rush.. For most of their season, they have been missing him and Bogut yet their record is amazing. Their 3 rookies are also doing big things from time to time. Ezeli, Barnes, and Green. Props to Mark Jackson. His team plays the way he did when he was in the league.
I've said this before, but I honestly don't view Portland as a serious threat in the playoff race this season. They've been extremely lucky to win a huge amount of close games as we saw first hand and the team's bench is just that amazingly bad. Dallas and the Lakers are bigger problems. Fortunately we have a good lead over them so that means destiny is in our hands and not theirs.
A big if: If the Warriors stay healthy (including Bogut), they are not only a playoff lock but are a threat for a top 4 seed. Bogut makes them legit. With him, they have a decent chance to advance beyond the 1st round.
Was just coming to this thread to say the same thing. Lillard is young and they have no depth, really. I don't think we'll see them make the playoffs this year. And I think Minnesota you can scratch off entirely. Trade deadline will determine quite a bit, and the biggest question is probably what will Utah do? Dallas and LA seem like the real threats.
Just as many of us dismiss their chances in the playoff race Aldridge and Hickson have 44 points and 24 boards combined. I wish NBATV would switch to the close of this game.
