NBA fines Marcus Smart for acknowledging, not even complaining about, superstar calls James Harden

Should've tacked on another 5k for his multitude of flops this season...

 

Sounds like he's complaining to me.

 

How rich is this? Guy who literally won a game on his flops complains about other floppers? Want to roll back those last 11 seconds the first game against the Rockets, Mr. "Smart" ?

 

You can’t really play the defense that you want, because you know nine times out of 10 he’s going to get those calls. It doesn’t matter whether your hands are up or not. He still gets them. We saw that here tonight a few times, and we’ve seen that every other game. He has a way of using his hands, grabbing us, pulling us into him and drawing those fouls. He’s been doing it for a long time. He gets the benefit of the doubt.”

What defense is that Marcus? Is that the defense where u constantly reach in while Harden is driving and get a piece of his arm instead of the ball? Or is it the defense where u crowd him from beyond the arc and try to play defense with your hands resulting in a foul on you for hitting Harden on the arm as he’s going up into his shooting motion?

 

Flopping b**** needs to also be fined for flopping.

Surprised Boston didn't roll out the wheelchair again.

Yeah, I remember more than a few of Smart's flops, so....

I like it.

 

The comment didn’t deserve anything but that flop there deserved a much heftier fine. So yeah I’m for it.

 

You won't see him complaining when his superstar teammate Kyrie gets those calls.

He shoulda just said that he thought his iPhone X was transcribing those comments to be used in a future Twitter DM.

 

Floppers suck... people that fake contact should be suspended...

 

Watching that Smart flop live, I really believed he was hurt and couldn't understand why none of Boston's staff were going to him.

Then he gets up and shoots the free throws, they've seen this a few times more than me.

Check on YouTube all his flops even in college, ppl knew he was a flopper the crowd even flopped like he did, it’s hilarious.

 

It’s been going on his whole career. I didn’t know either till today. Saw a post on ESPN on the comments and the YouTube video has a bunch of his flops even in college.

Or when he got a win earlier in the year against Houston by drawing two offensive fouls from exaggerating contact form Harden. If anything he should be fined even more for having the nerve to complain about officiating that also benefits him and his team.
