Totally agreed. I don't think he's the greatest player in NBA history either. But so many others think so it's no surprise that the Bulls beat out the Celtics, they may even beat out the Lakers, even though Jordan may be the only person on the Bulls worth mentioning (maybe Pippen too).

How Jordan can win vs the celtics, and in the quarterfinals how can the bulls win by a huge margin vs pistons, Im sure that game will be more close than that! So... we saw how is gonna win this thing, I thought its was about talent, not popularity, and how was the team built up.

Bulls-Pistons really interesting matchup. They put Rodman on the Bulls to balance things out.... Him and Ben Wallace cancel each other out. The old stars matchup of Dave Bing and Dave Debusschere hang in there with Chet Walker and Bob Love. Laimbeer and (mayor) Bob Lanier could keep up with Artis Gilmore and Ho Grant. The bigs and old stars play even.
    Then its:
    Jordan --Hill
    Pippen -- Rip
    Theus -- Chauncey
    Sloan -- Dumars
    Gordon -- Isiah

Rip Hamilton and Grant Hill don't at all beat out Jordan and Pippen but matchup in size and athleticism. Isiah, Joe Dumars, and Chauncey against Reggie Theus, Ben Gordon, and Jerry Sloan. Pistons the quickness and shooting, Bulls the size. Will go Pistons cuz they have a Hall of Famer in that mix. Add in that Jordan said Dumars was the toughest defender he ever faced, and arguably the Pistons can BEAT the Bulls best of 7. There'da probably been no way if the Pistons had advanced past em that they'd beat the Celtics so I don't see why the Bulls beat em either.

So that makes Jordan overrated? hmm...with Rodman they did win 72 games, and 69 the year after! Can't argue against that...Can argue that Rodman shoulda been a Piston and that's where the difference is.
