    In the last decade it was
    1. Laser Pointers i still have two of them , kids love blinding each other

      POGS oh god every kid had tons of of those (I stuck to Basketball cards)

      Pokemon cards oh god I made 100 dollars in 6 hours selling those crappy things , next week all kids wanted to do was trade [/list=a]

      Rollerblades these things are still around but they were the hottest thing 3 or 4 years ago

    what about those ka-nockers..
    late 60's early 70's

    they were two hard plastic balls connected by string with a loop at the top. the idea was to bang them together and usually you just bruised your arms or popped your sister in the eye! very dangerous short lived fad.
