    There have been games when Harden has gotten a lot of foul calls and the foul disparity has been in the Rockets favor.

    Name me how many slapstick threads you're going to make to cover up your denial of the Scott Foster effect.

    I heard Scott Foster made the Rockets stop playing defense too

    I heard this a really new topic, that the refs are out to get the Rockets

    Didn't Tmac say Donahey screwed us? Didn't Jake O Donnell eject Drexler in a playoff game?
    Didn't the clock manager not start the clock in Utah in the playoffs so Utah can get off a shot?
    Didn't David Robinson get a bucket after the end of the game and screwed the Rockets for a higher seed in the playoffs?

    I can think of 1. 1994 Finals Game 7. Joey Crawford and the gang gave us some favorable calls down the stretch. It was weird, you'd think it would of been the opposite considering the media had lined the Knicks up for the trophy before the series started.

    I don't deny the refs are against the Rockets.
    It's like wrestling when the dude underneath the ring comes out with a chair and hits Stone Cold and the refs never saw it.

    The Scott Foster effect?
    Same as the Max Kellerman effect.. Hides the real issues with the Rockets

    On the top of my head, that game this year vs the Grizzlies.

    Harden shot 27 free throws and scored 40+.

    Yes, Grizzlies played Harden physical and Harden drove inside the paint a lot but the amount he alone shot this game still seemed crazy.

    I get a little annoyed when people think they can infer referee motive just based on a disparity of free throws. That game when Harden shot more free throws than the opposing team — opposing fans insisted the refs were on his side. That’s dumb.

    Replace the refs with robots that will make calls with some random error, but without any human bias, and we can expect games with large free throw disparities between teams now and then. And we can even expect “bad calls” to sometimes favor one team over another.

    Yes, it’s possible some refs may have grudges against certain players and that can affect how they blow the whistle. But showing this is what is going on based on how calls are made in a given game, to me, is almost impossible. You really have to look at a large sample of calls and show a clear pattern of inconsistent officiating —with accompanying video. What it takes is beyond anything I’ve ever seen posted here.

    If someone calculated the standard deviation on harden's foul attempts then that value might surprise alot of people.

    I'm willing to guess that the standard deviation on his fouls is probably less than two attempts which means either the officials are consistently right or they have been consistently full of shiet!

    Team's other problems does not invalidate the obvious prejudice that Scott Foster displays against the Rockets.

    Trying to tie the 2 very separate issues is nonsensical.

    Just for Tinman I'll rewatch game 7 tonight and make sure I'm not delusional. I try not to watch Game 7 very often so I will never not be excited to see it. The Maxwell Three, Ewing walking off in disgust, Starks choke, oh how sweet it is.
