I thought I'd share it with you. Keep in mind my wife is super, SUPER shy, and doesnt write. But she was at home watching the game while I was doing my radio show, and suddenly felt motivated to put finger to keyboard. The obvious disclaimer is that through my friendship with Ron, she obviously has a special place in her heart for him. He's always been great to her and my two young children....he's "Uncle Ronnie" Here you go....
I've always say that even though he get trigger happy some time with the ball and take bs shots he still defend and play the game with all his heart. what a tru warier ron is!
Sacramentans, huh? Great article, great sentiments. I hope this series has changed a few people's minds about Ron and all the guys in general.
Wow, through all the joy i've felt tonight, this is the first time i actually got teary-eyed, while reading that. That was a fantastic read and i'm real proud and happy for ron. It was a perfect fit for him to come here.... he needed us as much as we needed him. Here's to you ron,and the houston rockets congrats, i am so proud and happy to be a rockets fan, theres nothing like it.
Thanks for sharing that CD. I hope we resign Ron and that you and your talents can find a job in H-town along with your obviously wonderful family. Thanks for your support even though Ron doesnt play in Sac anymore. Good luck to you and yours.
Very sweet. Artest isn't perfect, but I never question the man's heart and love for the game. It's always great to see.
Thanks for the post - your wife is awesome. Talented writer too. It brought the tears back to my eyes and the lump back to my throat which only passed about an hour ago.
awesome. if Ron leaves us next year for more money, i will definitely applaud and welcome him when he returns to Houston. the guy has been nothing but professional and hard working since he's been here... not to mention, great with the fans.
Man that article was moving....like a poster above said..with all the joy I have been feeling today that was the first time tonight that I really felt emotionally moved.
too bad they're not gonna re-sign him....kidding..kidding...well sort of.. I've been saying all along ron would be good the whole season, you could really see how he changed, but was still the same in a way. Where did your wife post this?
Very cool Dave. Ron has become my favorite Rocket and I hope he stays in Houston for a long time. And that you and your family can come down here as well. Also, your wife is quite the writer. That was outstanding.
