The indie studio that I work at released our announcement trailer today. What do you guys think? We have some serious gaming talent on board and we're hoping to change how people view browser games. You can join our beta signup list on our webpage at www.chronoblade.com <iframe width="853" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vBIJVt05jwc?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> We'll be going into beta testing this fall but I'd love to hear any feedback from ya'll.
It would've been cool if this were the sequel to Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. This looks cool too though.
Wow that's very good looking for a browser based game. Is it just combat or is there more to it Ala runescape (which I used to play in middle school and is also browser based).
I do everything but code and draw, which means finance, marketing, PR, biz dev, community mgmt, analytics, product mgmt, web designer and web master, and in-office entertainment. We have some awesome artists who worked on Dante's Inferno, Dead Space 2 and 3, and at ILM. Every time I walk by their desks, I'm blown away by the things they create. Every time they walk by my desk, they meh at my Excel spreadsheets. =P We definitely thought about the naming confusion with Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross but we really liked the name and the element of time is a big part of our lore. I guess now that DaDakota is gone, I'm the resident CF game developer.

So how is your company making money off this free-to-play game? Also did you pick the rocking trailer guitar rift?
I would assume they are going the "freemium" route, where the base game is free but if you want extra abilities, costumes, more loot, or some other bonus, then you have to purchase that. Not with the company, just my guess.
- Yeah we're going to generate revenue via microtransactions, similar to League of Legends. There aren't going to be any roadblocks that make you pay to play. We're all gamers here and we're making a game that we want to play ourselves. - Our awesome sound and music guy made the rocking guitar riff. - The game features skilled combat and isn't just a point-and-click RPG game. I would compare the gameplay to a mix of God of War + Diablo. The lead designer of Diablo 1 and 2 coincidentally is working with us. ; )
http://kotaku.com/5978643/one-hell-...-to-facebook-and-heres-why-you-should-play-it The game I'm working on got previewed in Kotaku today! Anyway, I have some beta keys to give out to my fellow CF members. Just respond to this thread and I'll hook you up with a beta key.
Looks really fun. I'll give it a spin, although I can't guarantee a ton of play time, so if keys are limited, no need to send any my way. xerobull at gmail
Hey Cokebabies, I'd like to see more of this game and possibly talk business with your studio. Added you to friends.
Xerobull and Crossover, you guys should have gotten your beta keys. What do you think of the game? Anyone else who wants a beta key, PM me your email address.
