Got to see this three weeks ago in a preview at Studio Movie Grill with the family. My two girls thought I was crazy and that I LOL'd too many times when no one else was laughing at some of the gags and scenes. I definitely recommend this movie. It's a Disney movie. It has kids, it has animation, it has fairy tales. I knew a few months back that Enchanted featured Amy Adams, Hot Girl from Season One of The Office as its main actress. I had been telling everyone at work that she would be good in this flick. Unfortunately, no other The Office connection here. I think she sells being a new girl in New York well. I didn't think she'd ever make a good starring role from the small roles in Talladega Nights and The Office, but I guess I was pleasantly wrong. Overall, a good family flick with plenty of suprises, a good mix of fairy tale plus fantasy and great acting and special effects make me give it an 8 in a 10-point scale.
Amy Adams is pretty hot. Also, besides having small parts in the Office and Talladega Nights, she was also nominated for an Oscar.
I've talked to a couple of guys who thought the movie was hilarious. I had my doubts, but it does look funny and Amy Adams is a hottie.
I might have to check this one out...according to my friends it's surprisingly good and hilarious. And these are picky friends. The jury's still out. 2007 has been a disappointing film year, IMO. The ONLY movies I really enjoyed were Hot Fuzz, Superbad, and No Country For Old Men. Weeee'll see.
I havent seen any movies this year except Transformers. Is it me or has the sequels thing really kinda disgusted everyone else?
My apologies, dear. That was actually the first one I thought of, but just to make sure I googled it and IMDB said it was a 2006 release. I stand corrected. Add 300 to my list.
The trailer looked good, I love Amy Adams (more trivia, she had a small cameo in the Pick of Destiny as a hottie in the crowd during the Master Exploder performance), but I can't stand Patrick Dempsey. I may wait for the DVD to Netflix it.
Didn't she also play Will Arnett and Amy Poehler's sister in Blades of Glory? Or am I going crazy...if not, the two actresses look ridiculously similar...
He's much better in this than in the few Will & Grace and Grey's Anatomy and Sweet Home Alabama. Trust me. And please pay attention to ALL the songs and their endings. There will be a quiz at the end of the movie, everyone. finalsbound, that was Jenna Fischer, our beloved Pam from The Office. They DO look alike... Amy's like... oh, I don't know... Pam 5.0 ?
I'm always down for anything that has Alan Menken's name attached to it, though this does look a little too intentionally corny to really be funny.
