John Carter wasn't even original. Was based on a book. Original blockbusters don't really happen anymore.
I get it. The Sony stigma doesn't bode well for the movie but I'm hoping it does well! If anything I'm sure Tom Hardy will be good in it although I'm not feeling the accent in the trailer.
I do love that every trailer needs to have a backlit shot of someone falling into water these days. LOL. Would love to see a rom com trailer full of quips and cliches and then it just cuts to a random person falling into water with like fire behind them, and then it goes back to quips and bullshit.
I get that, for sure. This feels more like a horror movie than a comic book movie (not that those are mutually exclusive). I may wait till it hits Netflix, though.
I'm still not sure about this one, but props to them for going with the Venom look we all know instead of the Agent Venom route.
I was talking with Dave2000 about this earlier, I have 0 expectations for this movie. With that said, they nailed how his powers work and the look of Venom. I'm also good with Hardy and his accent. Maybe this won't be a complete dumpster fire after all!
It can't be a dumpster fire with Tom Hardy. He elevates scripts that aren't worthy of his supreme acting talent. Child 44 is an example. He made a completely unwatchable movie mediocre.
This is kind of an odd complaint. I don't see much if any difference here compared to what he does in the comics, cartoons, or video games.
