Andrew Garfield has been one of my favorite actors since watching "Never Let Me Go" but I didn't like him as Spiderman at all. Perhaps it was the writing or direction, but FWIW i found his spiderman more annoying than witty, more irritating than funny.
Garfield was a great Spiderman, but a miscast for Peter Parker. From what I hear about Civil War, Tom Holland will be the Spiderman/Peter we've all been waiting for.
They are, but that's not quite the same thing. It's also not going to have Hulk in it, and I'm not sold on it. I love Jackman as Wolverine, but all of these movies have sucked. Hopefully Tim Miller rubs off on the rest of Fox going forward.

Agreed Spiderman 2 was up there with The Winter Soldier for me Molina was the Doc Oct we deserved!! I did not like EMO Spidey I did not like Garfield in the role at all really was not a great Peter nor Spiderman Rocket River
Agree to disagree. I'm looking forward to Holland none the less, glad they got a deal done with RDJ for this also.
No surprise that Downey Jr. is in Homecoming. Once you see how Peter Parker/Spider-Man and Aunt May are introduced in Civil War, you almost expect Tony Stark to show up in that flick.
From what little we see from Tom Holland as Spidey in Civil War, I couldn't be more happier! Can't freaking wait. Kid has Peter and Spiderman down. Aunt May = Fire Emoji
Really? I thought the hulk was wayyyyy stronger. It's almost like Hulk doesn't have much of a limit to his strength kinda like Superman. Also, can we agree that Spectacular Spiderman was the ****?
Marvel hoping that Iron Man can pass the mantle of resident smartass to Spiderman for the future team up movies. RDJ can't do this forever. Really loved how they handled Spiderman. Hopefully the solo movies deliver. By being part of the MCU now (although not technically Marvel) I'm feeling much more optimistic about this one than I did heading into the first reboot, which I was never excited for, and hated Garfield from the start.
It was pretty awesome. Rant about spoilers Spoiler so is the revealing of Spider-Man to those haven't seen the movie a spoiler or not? I don't like to be one of those people that wants to know everything about the movie before I see the movie. So I had no clue Spider-Man was making an appearance until a couple of weeks ago. I saw someone here post the gif is Spider-Man stealing caps shield. Then I noticed people throwing his name around unspoiled. The icing on the cake was while I was perusing the entertainment section of Google news and the title says Spider-Man in civil war. WTF!? I completely lost out on any surprise by Spider-Mans appearance and it kind of pisses me off. It was awesome to see Mrs. Donkey's face when she realized it was Peter Parker ( I've made her become a Spider-Man fan like myself). I just don't understand why people need to feel compelled to reveal something about a movie. It doesn't make you look cooler or smarter. It just makes you a giant toolbag. End rant
