If this is just a way to get more violence and see some space sex I'm not really for it. Star Trek at it's best isn't about action but about exploring the human condition. When people try to make it mostly about action it mostly fails, see the last movie. If Tarantino wants to do this just so he can put his stamp on it grindhouse gore I don't think it's going to work. That said with how bad the last movie was doing some drastic change might not be bad thing. This might drive a lot of people crazy but it seems to me if he really wants to do a Star Trek with R rated sex and violence he might want to do a Mirror Universe movie. The best Enterprise episodes were the two parter completely set in the Mirror Universe. It let the actors both stretch themselves but also had a pretty tight paced plot. Also Linda Park (Hoshi Sato) looked incredible in the bare midriff low cut Mirror Universe uniform.
If you have a good script, you don't need to try and sell it with nudity/profanity/gore/exsessive violence! All that is used to cover up a bad script!! Not saying the film will be bad (Abrams), just saying it doesn't have to be rated "R" to make it a memorable one... ....... ....... .......
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What in the Trek universe screams R rating other than William Shatner alien sex (i.e., gore)? No thanks!
You wanna roll up on the motherf**king enterprise bi**h?! I don't f**king think so! Shiiiiiit. I'll blast your motherf**king head off with motherf**king phasers motherf**ker!!!
Life is rated R. So long as they don't get the rating from language and instead get it with things like violence, sex, and gore, then I'm down. The typical obscenity laced dialogue that Tarantino puts out wouldn't really work though other than in VERY small doses.
"NNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!GGGGGGGGGGGG@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@: - Kirk speaking to Khan in the Tarantino version of Wrathe of Khan Nah . .. I'm good with out 800 "N-words" in a space movie Rocket River
You're mistaken if you thought anyone here thought you were anything more than an Internet tough girl.
