(Not that I would agree with this but) A lot of folks consider The Empire Strikes Back the greatest sequel of all time.

T2 and Aliens are close. But Aliens is better. Mainly because of the Furlong.

Terminator 6 Release Date, Cast, News and More
James Cameron and Tim Miller's Terminator reboot is coming in November 2019. Here's everything you need to know.

James Cameron has recruited Deadpool director Tim Miller "to direct a reboot, a conclusion" to the Terminator franchise, with Cameron acting as a "godfather." This is a loaded term, which hopefully is code for creative consultant or executive producer.

What we do know is that the aforementioned Genisys which, perplexingly enough, erased… or, if you will, terminated, the original timeline of the film franchise has itself been erased/terminated and will not be acknowledged in Terminator 6. Things are still a little confusing as to whether this is something that would ignore the other lesser-regarded Terminator movies like Salvation or even the "honest it's not really as bad as everyone makes it out to be" Rise of the Machines.

The untitled Terminator 6 script has been written by David Goyer, Justin Rhodes, Josh Friedman, and Billy Ray. Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, Bonnie Curtis, Julie Lynn, Tim Miller, John Kelly, and Edward Cheng serve as executive producers.

    Terminator 6 News

A video – shot last year – from the Budapest set of Terminator 6 has emerged from the Hungarian National Film Fund. While you won't spot any plot details, it does provide a solid glimpse of the main cast and some of the shooting locations you'll see in the film.

In a bittersweet aspect, prolific producer Andy Vajna, who just passed away on January 20, is also featured in the video. Vajna worked with Arnold Schwarzenegger on Red Heat, Total Recall, Terminators 2 and 3, as well as franchise entries Terminator Salvation (in which Arnold only appeared via CGI,) and the Fox TV series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Additionally, Vajna worked with other action film Mount Rushmore residents in Sylvester Stallone on the first three Rambo films (and, to a lesser extent, on Judge Dredd) and Bruce Willis on Die Hard with a Vengeance. Schwarzengger paid a heartfelt tribute to Vajna on Twitter.

Andy Vajna was a dear friend and a revolutionary force in Hollywood. He proved that you don’t need studios to make huge movies like Terminator 2 or Total Recall. He had a huge heart, and he was one of the most generous guys around. I’ll miss him. My thoughts are with his family.

    Terminator 6 Release Date
Terminator 6 (title to be determined) is now set to open on November 1, 2019.

While the film was previously scheduled for November 22, Warner Bros. just made the monumental move of shifting DC sequel Wonder Woman 1984 from its November 1, 2019 slot to June 5, 2020, which prompted the Charlie’s Angels reboot movie to take its place.

Consequently, with the blockbuster apex predator of the Wonder Womansequel now safely on the summer 2020 horizon, it appears that Paramount/Skydance is confident enough to swoop in and have Terminator 6 go head-to-head with Sony Pictures’ Charlie’s Angels on the initial November 2019 opening weekend.

Linda Hamilton reprises her role as time target-turned iconic femme-fatale Sarah Connor, a prospect that leaves us equally inquisitive, since she was supposed to be have succumbed to an aggressive form of leukemia by the events of 2003's Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines.

Mackenzie Davis of The Martian and Blade Runner 2049 fame--plus the best episode of Black Mirror ever--will play Grace.

Natalia Reyes (Sticks and Stones, 2091) is Dani Ramos.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has confirmed his return for the film, making everyone wonder how the 70-year-old action icon will fit into the picture. James Cameron implied plans to embrace Schwarzenegger's age, possibly sticking with the idea established in Genisys of him playing a long-operating Terminator whose flesh exterior aged naturally with time. However, it still makes one wonder if will Arnold will continue the same beaten path of playing a Terminator, or will this finally be the Terminator film that sees him play a human character of some kind?

Gabriel Luna (Robbie Reyes/Ghost Rider on Agents of SHIELD, Wicked City) will play a Terminator.

Diego Boneto (Monster Party, Before I Fall) also has a currently unnamed role.

We wrote more about what shape the potential sequels to Terminator: Genisys might have taken right here, but one thing seems clear, this new Terminator 6 (or whatever it ends up being called) likely won't have much to do with that.

Linda Hamilton cleaned up pretty nicely for her age in this new one judging from the first look at the cast. Impressive.

How many times are they just going to ignore the events of the movies after T2? I mean it's Hollywood and anything can happen, but it's kind of a joke at this point. T2 is still my favorite movie of all time.

My basic quibble is that there is only ONE Aliens.

And Avatar should be way lower.

Does Linda Hamilton no longer want to murder James Cameron?

That would be a seriously tense set, I imagine.
