Sam Rockwell (Three Billboard Outside Ebbing, MO, Iron Man 2, Hitchhiker's Guide) as W
    Tyler Perry as Colin Powell

I saw the clip before seeing who was in the cast. I did not even recognize Bale and Rockwell until they were credited. McKay directing The Big Short and this cast make it seem like this will not be a comedy, other than the real life comedy of it.

The Big Short WAS a comedy. And so is this.

Christian Bale is the anti will smith or denzel. He really becomes the character.

If they gave Oscar's for trailers, Christian Bale would win easily.

Methinks Rockwell is getting typecasted. Zaphod Beeblebrox and now W.?

Time to hit Broadway, Sam. Work on that range.

ummm.... Rockwell just won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor playing the Sheriff in Three Billboards.

I guess you don't watch dramas requiring "that range," much. :p

How is Cheney still alive? He's had about 2 dozen heart surgeries including a transplant - dude is Vadar.

Nah, I love Sam. My sarcasm sucks these days.

If I had to pick a movie for him to get a statue for it'd be Moon though.

Looks great, if sometimes hard to watch. Wonder if they contemplated Will Ferrell as W?

Chaney did more to destroy America as we knew it than Trump has or ever will.

You know a movie is going to be good when you watch the trailer over and over for subtle things you missed. Side note: didn't Bale have major problems with his last major weight gain (gout/ herniated disc)?

True story - Dick Cheney no longer has a heartbeat or pulse. He has a synthetic pump that is essentially an Archimedes' Screw that pumps blood around at a steady rate, not in pulses like a heart.

problem with these films is everyone involved having utter contempt for their subject matter

like Oliver Stone's W, an unmemorable caricature
