Just wondering who everyone all time most hated players are. My top five are: 1. Bill Lambier 2. Karl Malone 3. Danny Ainge 4. John Stockton 5. Kermit Washington Charles Oakley, Marice Lucas and Bill Walton make least honarable mention. No wonder I hate the Jazz so much with Stockton and Malone on that team. ------------------

Karl Malone and John Stockton, followed by Charles Oakley,Bill Lambier, and Kermit Washington. ------------------
How many of you in this topic are old enough to have seen Kermit Washington play? He was a very talented role player who made one big mistake on the court, which he has been paying for ever since. I've seen the play in question dozens of times, including the days right after it happened. He saw someone running at the pile and turned and swung. It was a typical wild punch, no different than many other punches thrown in the NBA, except this one landed squarely in the face of someone running full bore at him. To list him as one of the all time most hated players is unfair, especially when most of y'all have never seen him play. In fact, if it wasn't for this one incident, most of y'all would not even know his name. Bill Lambier, now he was a dirty player. But for me, the player I hate the most is Rick Mahorn. He was the NBA equivilent to a NHL hired goon. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS

I should add to my list that I only hated rodman after he left the pistons and started behaving ridiculously. ------------------
I was a young teen when Kermit shattered Rudy T's face. I remember when it happened and I have seen the replay many times. You say it was just a normal punch. That may be true but the effect was anything but normal. To be more specific I am a Rocket fan and Rudy T is one of the most beloved Rockets of all time and that play alone put Kermit on my list. You can omit him from yours if you like. ------------------
Stockton, Stockton, Stockton... ------------------ Check out my homepage! Loads of sports pics! http://www.public.asu.edu/~sykim/
Why does everybody hate Stockton so much? He seems like an athlete with limited gifts who has thrived on his gutsiness and guile. Now hating Malong I understand, he can be dirty. Well, so can Stockton but he doesn't really endanger anybody.... ------------------ Time is a great teacher-- only problem is it kills all its pupils. PowerbizOnline.com
1. John Stockton 2. Karl Malon 3. Michael Jordan 4. Shaq-fu 5. Jason Williams (Kings) Stockton and Malone don't play in the spirit of the game. They both throw elbows and Stockton get's away with his damn illegal picks and for some reason the officials always give them the charge calls when they're clearly flopping. Shaq offensive fouls 90% of the time he gets the ball. As a fan I find that boring to watch and crave the day that an official will actually start to call the fat man and make him use some superior footwork to go with that bulk. Jordan - why does he receive calls that nobody else receives? Not fair and made it stupid to watch - plus the fact that he's full of himself. Jason Williams - no shoot that 3 on the fast break from 40 feet - what a waste of talent. ------------------
I'll take up too much space if I number them all, so here they are, in no particular order: Karl Malone, John Stockton, John Starks, Olden Polynice, Luther Wright, Jacque Vaughn, Blue Edwards, Mark Eaton, Andy Toolson, Jamie Watson (ok, I KIND of liked Jamie Watson ), Bobby Hansen, Jimmy Les, Donyell Marshall, Greg Ostertag, Greg Foster, Howard Eisley, Eric Leckner, Jeff Hornacek, Delaney Rudd, Thurl Bailey, Scott Padgett, Pete Maravich, James Donaldson, Felton Spencer, Deshawn Stevenson, Adam Keefe, Rony Seikaly (I know he wasn't OFFICIALLY ever a Jazz player, but, come on, you hate him too), Bryon Russell, Quincy Lewis, Bob Thornton. I'll think of more later. ------------------ Jazzkiller
What? Maravich? He was a great player and a fine individual. I see where you are going with this, but I loved watching Pistol Pete play. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
Never saw the man, just saw his jersey...enough said. Naw, that was probably inappropriate...never really wished any ill will on this guy. But funny, nonetheless. ------------------ Jazzkiller
Have you seen Stockton play? He is probably dirtier then Malone with his elbows, and moving picks, etc.... ------------------
If you ever get a chance to watch Maravich play, you'd be amazed. He was J-Dubb and Magic rolled into one. If you played on his team, you better be ready, cuz you never knew when or where his passes where going. ------------------ Behad Sergeant at Arms of the Clutch BBS
