They are not better than Morey. These teams have not proven anything yet outside of the Raptors and they may or may not get Kawhi back. Good I'd rather have Morey here. That is a good thing. You guys give credit where none has been earned. Have chill pill son.

    Warriors won titles
    Spurs won titles
    Celtics won a title

If anyone has not proven anything, it's Morey.

This thread is nonsense. Rockets have been among the most successful teams for the past decade. The past three years have been as good as it gets short of winning a ship.

    14-15 WCF
    16-17 Second Round
    17-18 WCF
    18-19 Second Round

Only one team wins a championship each year. Morey has put a team that contends year in and out. That’s all a fan can ask for from a GM. The lack of championships only goes to show how hard it is to win one, even when you have a great GM.

We just got our franchise player in 2012....They've had Tim Duncan, Parker, Manu this whole time, HOF players.
Celtic had three too. Do you see where you logic is I'll conceived.

I was referring to Philly, LAL, NO, and all the other team the try to praise, yet not having proved anything.

Just let @Ramo$e alone, this little kid think Morey is a better GM than teams with actual championships. It's comical to see this little one floundering.

To put it in further perspective:

14-15 WCF - Knocked out by GSW in 5 games who won the championships that year
16-17 Second Round - Knocked out by Spurs in 6 games, first year under MDA and as PG
17-18 WCF - Knocked out by GSW in 7 games who won the championships that year
18-19 Second Round - Knocked out by GSW in 6 games who lost in the finals to the Raptors due to multiple starters being injured

Morey is the best....hate him all you want. You guys would still be hailing Lin as our savoir if it wasn't for him lol. I think you guys are too stupid to understand the method. Calling a grown a man a kid will not change my prospective. Nor do you provide any valid input or commentary to support your irrational logic.

@jsingles Yeah little girl, leave this kid alone. haha

From what I can tell my opinion doesnt matter. Its really about has Morey done enough for the team to win in the playoffs. So far we know he can get good enough players to win but those are only for vet minimum deals. Can he draw top Free agents here, Houston is a great city forget Jimmy Butler that guy is a joke. I am talking about the Leonards and Durant's

Im pretty sure what he means by “crippling” the team is having a glorified all star in CP3 that absorbs so much salary combined with Hardens that there isn’t enough salary to go after a quality FA. What consequences for getting rid of Anderson? For starters we had to take back a few scrubs and their contracts then give up assets to unload them later. Morey then gave up a 1st round draft pick for a guy like Shumpert. Instead of signing Chris Paul Morey could have pursued other quality players that fit MDA’s system, guys that can shoot the 3, a 3rd gunner from the outside like Redick or Seth Curry. Maybe he makes a trade without giving up Harrell. Yes, there were lots of good options but Morey was determined to sign a ‘star’ even though everyone in the NBA media was questioning whether it was a good fit.

Morey is an above average GM in the 7-10 range. No higher, but room to go lower f he continues with these off season screw ups

I know Rockets fans are trying to find ways to stay optimistic here, but the HUGE difference here is that Curry, Klay, and Draymond were only barely reaching the prime of their careers while everyone on the Rockets besides maybe Capela are on the tail end of their careers...

That's objectively true. Check the ages, and stop being a homer.

Houston seems to be getting shafted, is it a bad city where no one wants to play?
No, Houston did not have the cap space to make a convincing play for non-minimum salary free agents.

Is Harden a terrible teammate whose rep is turning away other stars?

No, Houston did not have the cap space to make a convincing play for non-minimum salary free agents.

Did the media conspiracy hit job work to take the Rockets out of free agent contention?
No, Houston did not have the cap space to make a convincing play for non-minimum salary free agents.

Is Morey incompetent and his ego and hubris led to free agents not signing here?
No, Houston did not have the cap space to make a convincing play for non-minimum salary free agents.

Is Tilman Fertitta trying to implode his own $2B investment to save luxury tax dollars?

No, Houston did not have the cap space to make a convincing play for non-minimum salary free agents.

Is this a sign that Harden is going to ask for a trade and the team is going to be dismantled?

You forgot James Harden playing at MVP level every season.

Its all because you have James Harden. Other teams wont waste Harden prime like this.

Bucks haven’t proven anything. They haven’t gone further than us in a worse conference and just lost their starting sg for being cheap

Ujiri is on par with DM with asset collection. But he wouldn’t have gotten Kawhi if pop hadn’t hated the lakers and refused to trade with them. Then they won’t championship in 6 against a depleted warriors. He never faced them full strength.

Warriors assembled great talent and got lucky with the cap but luck was earned for them. They got us there.

Clippers are an assortment of role players. If they don’t get Kawhi they struck out as well. Didn’t get to the wcf like us even when they had Paul/reddick/griffin/deandre

Danny ainge May have the jump on morey with how he has rebuilt teams so frequently on the fly.

Sean marks did jackshit other than preserve cap space which a monkey could do. Kyrie wanted the nets. Kyrie DAJ location and business ventures got KD there. Also let’s see if KD at 32 coming off an Achilles tear was worth the gamble they made

    Pop I’d say is better.

So out of all those teams I’d say ainge pop/Buford and possibly lacob(although no one saw the cap spike or Curry’s ankles holdin* up) are better than morey.

I don’t think we can get mad at Morey just yet. He’s kept us flexible while juggling two huge contracts we still have 6.5 playable players with the potential of adding a decent wing and shump for trade pieces. I wish he would’ve gone all in and given full mle to jam/Morris/demarre and lost shumpert. But he could still get them and maintain flexibility for trades down the road. I think he’s doing a decent job of keeping his options open
