Delusional comments for a delusional fanbase... lol

We're coming off a season that ended with our 'superstar' turning the ball over 3 consecutive times in OT to lose game 5... followed by said star having a hissy fit and deciding not to put forth any effort in game 6 - resulting in the worst loss of the year... an embarassing 39 pt loss at home...

mind you, this is the same guy who set the NBA record for turnovers in a playoff game when he melt down in the WCF against a pre Durant Warriors....

set the record for turnovers during a **** show of a season last year - and beat that mark this year....

but but but we had the 3rd best record last year.... and and james harden's stats were the best ever.... as if your record and stats against the likes of The Suns, Lakers, Nets, etc in the regular season matters when you play the higher caliber teams in the playoffs....

but let's all be grateful that we have james around....

denial is more than just a river in Egypt... lol

"Upping our risk profile" means what?

Maybe taking more chances with talented guys with injury history? Maybe gambling more on a "Terrence Williams" headcase type?

On the contrary... this is EXACTLY the mind set Les is trying to get with most fans.

We're somewhat competitive with a marketable star player... yeah!!! Buy tickets and beer.

    Congrats on buying in.

To more specifically address your comments. DM is coming on a decade now as GM. And that's being given resources such as Yao and Tracy. After that he's made his own resources. And it's not been spectacular. It's some good moves and some bad moves - that are REALLY bad in retrospect

To address your point there's no proof the Rockets have the 2nd best shot to beat the warriors. First there's obviously the Cavs and Spurs. Second other teams will get better too. Third the Rockets showed in the playoffs they aren't close.

To address your points ... there's no way PG13 is traded here lol.

But, again, hope and dream... you've bought it!

Newest example: see this thread. Something up our sleeve!! Lol. More hopes and dreams.

But at the beginning of the season did you ever think the Rockets would get the 3rd best record in the league, beat OKC in 5 games and take the Spurs to 6 games while James Harden had to defend both Aldridge and Gasol for most of the series?

Forget about having all ...stars. That isn't a reasonable solution. Look to what has always worked on the hardwood.

CC is getting better and better.....and he will hurt the Warriors where they are weakest..all the while strengthening our interior defense as he progresses...

Of course, there is more to be done....

They should get that checked out by a doctor. Harden is spending too much time in strip clubs.
I'm down. Play for 2020 baby.

As long as Harden is on this team, the Rockets stand NO chance. I

Are you saying that you didn't have confidence in Harden to begin the season? That's what it sounds like.

What makes next season any different?

Definitely gonna have to make some risky moves to compete with GSW but, i'm pretty sure every playoff contender is going to be more aggressive when it comes to FA and trades this offseason.

How is there not a thread with the title, "What does Morey have up his sleeve?"

    My guesses:
    - Rockets have a standing offer from a team like Sacramento or Brooklyn for Ryan Anderson and 1 or 2 future first round picks in exchange for salary space in case they need cap space for a future star.

-Rockets moved Harden to Point Guard to take advantage of his great passing last year, and this coming year they move him to Power Forward on Defense to take advantage of his strength and rebounding, creating even weirder mismatches. Beverley, Gordon, Ariza start at spots 1-3 and Lou Williams is our only 6th man.

-Rockets have a crazy scheme to jack up even more three pointers. Conservative plan would be to start Ryan Anderson at Center and someone like Dekker as PF. Radical plan involves Harden guarding Power Forwards as detailed above, starting at center an athletic three point shooting swingman who can rebound, and three swingmen at point guard, shooting guard, and small forward. This way, all five players can handle, pass, drive, but mostly, all threes all the time on O, and all switching all the time on D. Also, they'll crash the offensive board, gamble for steals, and leak out after defensive rebounds/made baskets.

Personally I'm hoping for the last case scenario. Let's go all in. What's the harm?

Bring in all the broken and aging all stars you want Les. It won't matter.

Maybe Carmelo and mda made up behind scenes and there is a sitting offer of Ryan for melo.

Maybe they have an agreement with bosh if he gets cleared.

Maybe they have an offer better than anyone is willing to pay for Paul George.

Maybe all are happening at once in conspiracy.

    Harden
    Bev
    George
    Melo
    Bosh
