    Per his interview during summer league. Said Gordon would take all backup 1 and 2 minutes. Thought it was newsworthy, given recent discussion. Said starting line-up was 4 shooters around 'Clint and Nene', leaving the starting Center a little more ambiguous.

    Included the quote in the original post. He sounded like it was a made decision, though I'm sure training camp will decide some things.

    I like this approach though. I didn't like the Rockets giving the starting job to Ty Lawson without earning it last year when they really hadn't played Harden and Lawson together much.

    Meanwhile he's trying to trade half these guys for an upgrade. Today he says Gordon getting all the backup 1,2 minutes. Yesterday he says he's looking for a backup point guard.

    Just because Morey says it doesn't mean that's what is going to happen. If that is the starting lineup then Morey will have either failed to execute trades he is actively working on right now or he will have delayed them in favor of the deadline.

    I seriously doubt Bev, Trevor, and Capela are the 3 starters around Harden/Anderson come November.

    For the life of me, I can't get my head around why a GM talks like this. Why wouldn't he simply answer the question by saying it's a decision for Coach to decide and I'm sure he and the players will try several different looks in camp.

    I really don't care what the GM has to say about system and player rotations, anymore than what Feigen and TV analysts have to say. It's the job of the Coach. Don't speak for him.

    I just don't get it.
