And @Deuce Why wrt EGo. I'm thinking completely the opposite. It now makes more sense why he went hard for Redick. Typically we'd all say it doesn't make sense to sign Redick and keep EGo. But in light of these Morey comments, it now makes complete sense that Morey is fine making the move for more shooters at guard positions, which normally doesn't make sense. Many here spent a lot of time trying to make sense of why Morey went hard for Redick, and best they could do is assume it meant freeing EGo as a trade asset. Now Morey makes this comment about moves that don't make sense, and we are still saying it means moving EGo...after the Redick signing completely fits the doesn't make sense criteria. I'm not trying to push some signing/trade narrative about Redick, but just saying this comment has to directly add to our understanding of that attempted move since it pretty much describes it....no? Is he willing to continue powering up at shooting guard, especially 3pt shooters, if it so happens they are best available players ... best fit be damned
I just mention Gordon because of his value as a player and the contract size. If they team is trying to "level up" on talent, he might have to be moved as a piece to get there. I wasn't saying he should be moved because they were looking to add a duplicative player. I am fine with the value surplus. This is a positionless league now. I personally like Gordon and hope they keep him. I love him as a 3rd guard. And I think his defense is underrated.
