Looks cool, so is this like a Tarantino double (quadruple) feature type movie? It seems like they're rolling all 4 stories into one... or is it just three stories (minus Sofia Boutella)?

    lmao

Hollywood thinks everything needs to be an expanded universe now.

Reminds me of the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, which was critically panned but I enjoyed.

Wait, is there even an audience for this?

The Mummy already looks terrible, like this year's Suicide Squad with the Enchantress/Mummy all over again. I know I won't be paying to watch it in a theater any time soon, so what makes Hollywood think people are going to lineup for this universe?

People lined up for Suicide Squad. Although critical failures, all of the DCEU movies have been commercially successful. The Mummy with Brendan Frasier was also successful. You also have Tom Cruise, who is generally a huge draw in action movies. There is no reason to think this movie won't be a commercial success.

Yep. It has been since 2011 that the MCU hasn't reached a billion in worldwide box office sales. I think it is 50-50 odds (maybe better) that they break 2 billion in each of 2017, 2018, and 2019.

Oh, there's definitely an audience for this. There is a billion dollar audience every year to go see awful Transformers movies. There will surely be plenty who line up for this.

I'm honestly more interested in this than the general comic book stuff, but that's just me.

Agree completely. IMO, a very good 2 hour movie doesn't compare to a very good 8-12 episode TV series.

Hard to argue. There's tons of good and original movies out there, but they're mostly indie and not available in every theater. Very rare to find a blockbuster nowadays that isn't a comic book/sequel/reboot/remake/etc.

What are these movies, even? Horror? If PG13 horror, then no.

Yeah, nothing says awesome action franchise like starting with a bunch of 40 and 50 something year old guys (and one mid 30's lady covered in makeup).

Some of the greatest horror movies of all time were PG13. Hell, Poltergeist is rated PG.

A bunch of 19 year old guys says awesome action franchise to you? :D

I have literally zero problem with this cast, and I am amazed at anyone that does. It's the story and direction that should be concerning.
