Taylor was a great offensive player when he was with the Rockets. However, in China last year all he did on offense were setting pick/rolls with Marbury and jacking up 3's. His defense deserves no comment.
He's a band wagoner for sure. If you recall he wanted to play in Orlando with the (then) recent signings of McGrady and Hill
I don't hate on players for taking a contract. Guys like Mo and Cato were overpaid but props to them for making a career out of it. And he was a solid NBA player, nothing more nothing less. It's not like he had out of this world talent he never realized. He was a shooting big man who didn't play defense. Our fault for overpaying.
