I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and just assume they were pointing out how intriguing it was that a ball that hit foul 5 feet from the plate actually went for a double. I liked this one from that thread:
They could be pointing out that a ball that hit about 10 feet away from home plate ended up being a double and that was the remarkable thing.
I love how according to the media New Yankee Stadium and Fenway are just "quirky" while MMP is a bandbox with cheap HRs.
Is the media still saying that? In another 30 years, MMP will get the "quirky" label... I'm just glad the elimination of tal's hill didn't have the expected uptick of offense effect. I'm surprised more isn't made about our prison bunker visitors bullpen. Is there any other one comparable in all of baseball? Might as well have the bullpen in the clubhouse or where the cages are... can't imagine visitors relish being confined to that silo, especially during playoff games. (not that I'm complaining.)
David Price's postseason mastery continues unabated: he lasted all of 1.2 innings and gave up 2 HRs. 3-0 Yanks after 2.

Craig Counsell got way too cute with his bullpen tonight. Putting in Hader for two outs in the 8th, up 4-0, was dumb. Removing him for Jeffress in the 9th was dumb on top of dumb. But they lucked out and won anyway.
lol...just posted this over in the ALCS thread. Didn't know this thread was going. He's a gas can in the playoffs.
