Looks like losing is getting to the stros. In a sporting news article (sorry didnt grab the link) it says that Mitch was late for batting practice, then jumped ahead of Mieske for bp. A verbal war insued, and Mitch "Micheal Westbrooked" Matt Mieske. Causing a cut above Matt's eye that needed attention immediately. The fight doesnt get to me soo much, butt his comments afterwards struck me as outrageus. In his post fight comments Mitch goes on to say it was wrong, and that "I didnt sucker punch him" though. Great. Your point is what Meluesky? Biggio and Lima both said basically that Matt was an 11 year vet, and basically that should speak for itself.
Dreamshake, I know Drayton dumped salary so he could turn a nice profit at Enron, but is the talent level really that low on the team? Mango ps you have been MIA as a poster lately ------------------ Live long and prosper. Donate blood! Now...back to updating The Serious Police Files.
No...all in all the Astros have a bunch of talent on the team. Gobs of it...problem is that they dont have it in certain areas and its showing. Middle relief Clutch hitting Starting pitching the middle relief has been a Stro trademark the last 3 years. Letting Carl Everett go may of hurt the teams best protection hitter. Any switch hitter who can bang like Everett is gold to a men like Bagwell, and Alou. As for pitching. Stros management can blame themselves for not at least trying this year. They could of held on to Everett, andHampy at least till the trading deadline. And then dealt him to someone who would of killed to have him (much like the Mariners did with the Astros). Same goes for Everett. Drayton was only thinking with his pockets. And now he cant be mad at his teams non sucess. It was his choice for it to be this way
