What's in store for today? Quad Cities will be in action at noon in a rubber game with Wisconsin. In evening action, Corpus will be wrapping up their series with San Antonio, Lancaster will looks to draw even in their series with Visalia while keeping Inland Empire at bay in the California League South, and OKC will be starting its longest roadtrip of the season. All times Central. Oklahoma City @ Sacramento, 9:05 PM The Redhawks will begin a 13-game roadtrip, beginning with 4 in Sacramento. Brett Oberholtzer, coming off his best outing of the season, when he allowed a hit, walked 2, and struck out 9 over 5.2 shutout innings against Tacoma, will get the start for OKC. He will be opposed by Sonny Gray, the 18th overall pick in 2011 for Oakland. Baseball America rates Gray as the #5 prospect in the A's system. Corpus Christi vs. San Antonio, 7:05 With special guest appearance by The Hooks and Missions will finish up their series, with the Hooks looking to take 3 of 4. Matt Heidenreich and R.J. Alaniz will be tonight's pairing. Josh Fields is expected to throw 2 innings as his rehab assignment continues. San Antonio will go with Keyvius Sampson. Lancaster @ Visalia, 9:00 David Rollins and Tyson Perez will get the start for the Jethawks. The Rawhide will counter with Cody Wheeler. With the loss yesterday, the Jethawks had a 5-game winning streak snapped. Quad Cities @ Wisconsin, 12:05 The River Bandits and Timber Rattlers will finish up this afternoon, as Colton Cain and Mike Hauschild will take on Austin Blaski. Cain hasn't been very good this season, but his last 2 appearances have been pretty good. Perhaps he's turning things around? Carlos Correa enters today on a 6-game hitting streak. His on-base and slugging percentages are now over .400.
I think Correa could be in Lancaster in August. Given that he'll be 18 all season, it also wouldn't surprise me if he was in QC for the entire time, especially if they're thinking playoffs by then.
I suspect at some point this season, Villar and Fontana get moved up. Who would you think would replace Fontana in Lancaster?
12 more AAA games until Singleton is back 9 more Astros games until he's back (Not sure which one but we're getting close!)
Interesting to note: Singleton is currently playing in extended Spring Training and by Lunhow's account is looking very solid. Was glad to hear that he was still able to work with the team during his stoner break. Hopefully he hits the ground running.
Alex Freedman is OKC's announcer. Um..... this was from last night.

Due to storms in Dallas, flight from OKC cancelled. I work with his fiancee and met him at our holiday party this year. How'd he do (blog blocked at work)?
He was all over the place in 3 2/3 innings. Allowed 4 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits, walked 6, and struck out 4.
