Rest him now and then put him back in towards the end if they're worrying about conditioning. Definitely no back to backs IMO.
He missed a lot of layups he usually finishes with ease the ankle is clearly bothering him. He needs to heal. We’ve seen what happens to him in the post season when he’s injured/tired
I don’t think he is tired. He is just chilling out since this game meant nothing because we already clinched the playoffs and will get #1 seed in the NBA. I know we haven’t secure that yet but I mean the way he is playing he is more relaxed. Harden down plays against bad teams. That’s why his man usually gets his career high against him. Hopefully he rest the next two against the Bulls and Phoenix. Then gets back against the spurs, though we could win it with just Chris Paul while Harden rests. We should definitely have everyone against wiz, Portland and okc. Just to even the series against the wiz, sweep the blazers and show okc they got nothing on us just like last game. I hate all those so-called media analysts saying okc is the biggest thread to the warriors . They forgot how they had no answer for our pnr and we shut their pnr with Westbrook and Adams. Then the last two games I would rest but maybe they won’t to keep our flow for the playoffs and our conditioning too. Maybe just sit Harden and Chris the 4th or idk.
what? for MDA 30 to 32 is resting and 38 is to keep conditioning up? I would think around 24 is resting, 30 to 32 is to keep conditioning up, and 38+ is just plain being too dependent on someone and trying to run him to the ground
The day after the Rockets season ended with an ugly 114-75 blowout by the Spurs, Houston coach Mike D'Antoni sounded full of remorse. His biggest apparent regret: Not being more careful limiting star James Harden's minutes throughout the season. http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/new...-nba-playoffs-2017/1nl9nheugboda19gxqvwajecae
I think they are just trying to secure Harden's MVP. What is likely to happen is Harden will not play in maybe 2 or 3 of our last remaining 8 games, but in the games that we do play he will keep his minutes low at 30 to 32 minutes.
Actually i think he should play those games since they seem more like scrimmages. Avoid all games against opponents fighting for playoff seedings or spots. We have nothing left to prove until playoffs. 38 mins agains phoenix and bulls= layupp drills, suicides, and 3 pt training...
he said one or two DAYS . . . not GAMES. Harden will only get a day off from practice and will play in every remaining game 'cause he's a hooper.
Harden has been coasting these past few games.. his drives to the basket seem less aggressive, he’s not running back on d as fast.. he knows that 1st seed is locked up but doesn’t want to stop playing either.
Limiting minutes is another form of resting Would you rather harden play 38 minutes the rest of the games and sit only 1 whole game Or him to 20 to 25 minutes a game the rest of the games?
