I’ll take Hakeem with no hesitation as the best defensive player in Rockets history

By people he means me. The point I made is Sam Cassell, Vernon Maxwell and others were better at the same role. Kenny Smith was a very gifted player that never lived up to his talent. He was not a floor a general or that clutch; most of the time someone else would finish the games (Scottie Brooks). Kenny’s success came mainly because of the team and coaching. Kenny was a replaceable part of that team. Prospective was my goal and to stop homeristic honoring of an average player. I went out of my way to say he was a championship winning professional athlete but he not a superstar player. If I remember the title of the tread had Michael Jordan & Kenny Smith in it. Tinny is a good guy we just have different memories.

"You don't accept in victory what you wouldn't accept in a loss."
I first heard that from Jeff Van Gundy, who I'm pretty sure was quoting somebody else. Possibly his father.

Man look at that adjustment. Dialed it back to 120 for the W. This team is showing the heart of a champion. You looking Rudy T?

I don't know how you fix that when Giannis can grab one with one hand over you without jumping. Or Lopez can just snatch it from over your head. We are going to lose at rebounds all the time, we have to force turnovers to compensate, and they've been doing that.

Rockets defense in crunch time is scary good.

Naw you would be surprised with how much size has to do with rebounding.....it really doesn't.

Come on people stop listening to buzz words like small ball n whatnot.

Boxing out n what to are way bigger then just being taller....if that was the case Rodman wouldn't be the rebounding goat.

If you watch the game they didn't box out....it was horrible. U can fix that

It's more about boxing out, timing and springs in the legs. Im pretty tall, can jump high but skinny and I have a friend that is 2.5 inch shorter but strong as hell(pj type build) + quick, that mother****er is more than capable of outrebounding me. A shove here and there to throw someone off balance is a lot

Exactly he'll u dont even have to be athletic to rebound good. Take Barkley or zbo who couldn't jump over a peice of paper. Its fundamentals. Boxing out..knowing the angles of the bounces off the rim. I'm not very tall.either 5 11. But I out rebound guy way taller them me all the time. Boxing out is key
