Let the debate begin and please give reasons Who is your Most Improved Player????
For me its Paul George. Comparing him to last season is like comparing night and day. I think Jrue Holiday and Harden can make a case as well. It's really close this year.
Asik and Parsons are good candidates. Also, I think Nikola Vucevic has been having a great season under the radar.
Jrue Holiday, he has came into his own up in Philly. I don't think anyone saw him becoming an all-star this year. Asik numbers improved because he became a starter instead of a backup.
Definitely not a fan of Asik getting MIP. As awesome as he's been, it's not the "Who got the biggest jump in minutes" award. Going with Vasquez instead.
I think it's awesome that the Rockets have three worthy candidates in Harden, Parsons and Asik. I also think Jrue Holiday, Grievis Vasquez, and Larry Sanders have a case.
Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony should also get mentions, although they won't because they're already superstars. They have somehow improved their games significantly from last season.
Harden is going to win it. Anytime a player goes from Good to Great, they always beat out the below average to Good players in MIP votes.
This is the most cursed award ever. So no I don't want anybody on the rockets getting it no matter how deserving (harden)
Clear front-runner should be James Harden. Runner-up should be Paul George or Jrue Holiday. 3rd place is a toss up between Nikola Vucevic, Omer Asik or Greivis Vasquez. Honorable mentions that just missed the cut are Kemba Walker, Chandler Parsons and Larry Sanders.
Most "experts" have either Paul George or Jrue Holiday as the front-runners, and while they're certainly deserving of being in the conversation, Harden is averaging 9 more points, 1 more steal and 2 more assists from last year, also going from a sixth man to a bonafide star. Also add in the fact he's carrying a 9th place team from last year into the playoffs. It would be insulting if he kept up the same numbers and didn't win it.
