Mike Conley Drawing Interest From Heat

The Miami Heat have been mentioned as a potential trade destination for Mike Conley this summer.

According to Sean Deveney, Pat Riley has "long coveted" Conley and tried to sign him 3 years ago in free agency. The Heat, with the 13th pick in the draft, are expected to be the only team to offer the Grizzlies a lottery pick for Conley.

The Heat are currently waiting to see if Goran Dragic picks up his $19 million player option for next season.

Miami can have Conley if it keeps him away from Utah.

I am hoping the grizzlies aren't stupid enough to trade Mike Conley.

Aren't you guys about to draft Morant anyway? Makes sense to move Conley until you can get something back.

No it doesn't and I would rather have Barrett. PG like conley take a while to develop and you don't get rid of them when you've developed them. There is absolutely no reason to trade Conley.

Goran would be foolish not to pick up his option. He won't see that yearly money elsewhere.

He's one that we should have kept, along with Lowry.

But, as one poster mentioned, I think Conley is Utah's priority. They don't have needs at the center or SG spot. They need a PG who can shoot and pass the rock. I think Conley is overrated, overpaid and not a final shot-killer, but he'd be good with that core. Plus, Conley wants out of Memphis, just like Marc who's competing for a chip with Toronto.

Take the option and get traded to PHX, get waived, sign with us for the minimum and give CP3 some depth. And, bring our Shhh with you. He was supposed to be here already. :)

I mean, you're about to have a super young core between Jaren, Ja and Jonas...Conley is just out of place there anyway.
