do you have to pay every 10 minutes when you watching it?

They need another mortal kombat movie.

    I hope not.

There's probably a clause in the contract preventing SPE from hiring Boll as the director (hope so anyway). I know Kojima was pretty adamant about not letting him get his hands on it.

    video game movies.

I remember people hyping up silent hill and boy did that movie ever suck.

anyone see the DoA movie? It sucked, but I thought it was entertaining in a Mortal Kombat kind of way(other than making ryu a total p***y). And the chicks were hot, esp the aussie.

Wouldn't surprise me if they got the guy who directed Silent Hill to also direct MGS (Christophe Gans). Konami/Team Silent really liked what he did with the SH movie, as did SPE IIRC. He might be busy with some other things (Onimusha movie, possible SH sequel if he has time, maybe some non-video game movies), but he'd probably love to do that if he was offered the job (SH and MGS are 2 of his favorite VG franchises I believe).

i thought silent hill was pretty good. on the scale of video game movies, its closer to the original mortal kombat (awesome) than, say, mortal kombat 2 (horrible). i also thought doom was incredibly entertaining though, so maybe i'm just a sucker for dumb entertainment.

I think a Marathon movie could be good if done right.

I think it is probably the best VG movie so far (take out the theme song in MK, and it would easily be the best ;)). Pretty decent movie overall too, especially compared to other movies in the genre. All IMO of course.

When the DVD came out, I was going to try to convince my family to rent it, but they either already watched it (and liked it) or were already interested in getting the movie. Probably the only VG movie that my family was ever interested in. On the other hand, I tried to introduce my mom to the world of FF7 with FF7:AC, and she fell asleep in 15 minutes. :(

Doom was more entertaining than I expected, but partly because I expected it to be pretty bad.

    Has anyone seen Pan's Labyrinth?

It reminded me of a video game with a depressing twist to it.

I wonder how long it will take for people to realize that making a movie about a video game is a BAD idea?
