Well a Vujacic/Mihm/Odom package would work....

    Bynum
    Gasol
    Walton/Ariza
    Bryant
    Kidd

    That team is nuts.

Daryl Morey had said the other day that <a href="http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=141720">the Grizzlies were in "financial straits"</a> ... guess he wasn't kidding.

Looking forward to MemphisX's new signature:

The 2014-15 Las Vegas Grizzlies will finish ahead of the Houston Rockets...book it!

BTW, Kupchak looks even more like a genius now. Despite all the pressure from Kobe, he held on to Bynum which deserves a lot of respect for sticking to his guns despite the best player in the league trying to make you out to be the villain. And now he's fallen ass backwards into what I can only conclude is a very desperate Gasol/Grizzlies situation.

EDIT: Of course getting rid of Kwame DOUBLES how impressive it is that he landed Gasol.

If the Lakers can ride out the 5 or so weeks left of the Bynum injury, when he comes back, can't you argue that this team is the best team in the West?

    They got depth
    They got chemistry
    They got youth
    They got athleticism
    They got All-Stars
    They got Kobe

I was thinking just how much of a dumb ass Chris Wallace is for making such a deal. But then I realized a deal like this could not have been done without the approval of their owners. Way to treat your fans Memphis! I hope none of your fans show up at your games for the rest of the season

On the flip side, can Stern block this deal? I mean, allowing ridiculously lop sided deals like this is not fair for the fans and the rest of the league. Then again, it might have been Stern's idea all along to re-create the Celtics-Laker duo. What a rigged league that would be

has there ever been a more lopsided trade?

as a bitter rockets fan i'll say that memphis is really a pile of **** for making that deal.

the nba is already terrible, if the finals are the lakers/celtics it'll make me vomit.

    Yep…Kobe has no excuses now.

Now can they keep them all together? Isn’t Bynum due for a raise and how much does Gasol make? Is he a max player?

What a bull**** trade. Grizz's aren't going to be able to land any top tier free agents in the loaded West. They're going to end up overpaying big time for a non-franchise player.

Seriously, I still can't figure Crittenton in this deal.

Conley, Lowry, Navarro, ... and Crittenton? Maybe they are imitating the Rox! (mocking?) :D

Or... it could truly mean another trade is shaping up...

Clutch, it's like we see this every year. It seems there is one team that is desperate to move salary or a troubled player and some team totally takes advantage of the situation and makes off like gangbusters.

Odom's deal is up in two years. That's like 13 mil/year off the books. By that time, they can afford to re-sign Bynum I would think.

The Lakers match up extremely well against the Rockets now.

Gasol usually gives Yao fits and Bynum/Gasol frontline will be a handful for Yao. When we played the Lakers we usually had a huge advantage with Yao in the middle. Well not anymore...

Kobe + Lamar >> Anything the Rockets can muster.

Hell, they can put Fisher on Tmac and problem solved for them.

Bynum + Gasol should also score a bunch against the Suns.

    Very good deal for Lakers.

We got robbed by Grizzlies just a year ago. Now Grizzlies got robbed. Just not by us though.
