Melo is an all time great HOF player. LeBron really wants to play with him. If that's the case, we need to get something really good for him. Make it happen LeBron! Since the whole NBA bends to your wishes, put out a call for a favor and get a 3rd team involved. This is a chance to bring the great Carmelo Anthony to the LA Lakers. Pull some strings LeBron. But be fair. The Rockets will be giving up that HOF player and should be well compensated in return. End of sarcasm...
If the game was played as it was in the 90s, Melo would still be a fine player. Offensively, his post game is unstoppable and defensively, he’d at least be servicable since hand checking, illegal d, and other tactics of that era allowed players of his size to clog the lane and made it easier to stay in front of opponents. Since the game has evolved into a positionless one where defenses have had to switch and stretch out further from the point, iso heavy guys who cant move well without the ball or switch on D are a flat out liability. Melo’s days in the NBA are over. Everyone knows it and LeBron knows it more so than everyone else...
God I feel sorry for this guy. He doesn't understand he's a dinosaur. No longer elite. He has tons of fit across the league If he could just get his damn head straight.
