All the excitement for the season was just completely drained. This is gonna suck. I'm a big Morey fan but it seems like he might have **** the bed on this one. Maybe the Knicks were never gonna play ball with us, but the Thunder just absolutely stole George and Anthony. (Kanter, McDermott, and A F*CKING SECOND ROUND PICK!? SERIOUSLY?!) I don't see how this roster can realistically compete with Thunder/Warriors...
and in one fell swoop: -- presti cemented his executive of the year award -- we move to 3rd or 4th seed this upcoming season -- serious chance cp3 will bolt next summer -- jopat faints -- anderson is an anchor around our necks for at least 2 more seasons minimum yikes
Why wait for Monday to make the call? Seems odd. Article from shams also states it is expected that melo waived his trade kicker. Idk seems like I'm ridiculous but I wonder if this is Nyk pressuring melo to waive his kicker. Still a chance melo says no I guess. But it's funny how okc got 2 players for nothing. Presti must have became an expert negotiator after losing he harden deal. Props to him
Not mad, just confused. Drama all summer long because the Knicks didn't want Anderson and now they take Kanter and McDermott... ?
Presti didn’t do anything besides find 2 disfunctional organizations as trade partners. Not sure how he made Morey his b****. That’s just flat out stupid. Chris Paul is still by far the best acquired piece by any team this season.
The trade would only make sense for Houston if Anderson is the centerpiece. Adding significantly more like Capela, or Gordon was a bridge too far.
Surprising Melo did this. OKC is not ideal to me. I think he fits better in Houston. I still think rockets are better, OKC supporting cast is trash
The Knicks pretty much boycotted the Rockets. Anderson is a better player than Kanter. They ended up holding out for trash.
It wouldn't be a Rockets off-season without a huge disappointment. We got it. now this means the Rockets have a better than expected regular season. clockwork.
Thanks Morey you ****ing bum. Now we overpay Clint with the extension, and watch Chris Paul walk away.
I'm not bummed that we lost out on Carmelo, because Ryno & Capela > Melo (and that was apparently the only package that would have received serious consideration). I AM bummed, however, that he ends up in OKC. Russ/Roberson/PG/Melo/Adams is a crazy talented starting 5, I think they Are at least on par if not better than Houston (CP3/Harden/Ariza/Anderson/Capela). Damn. That really sucks. Great offseason for OKC. It may all go to hell in 2018, but damn they'll be fun to watch this year. The CP3 trade really ended up killing our chances. I think a Dekker/Ryno/2nd Rounder deal gets the deal done months ago. Very minor damper on the ending of the Offseason.
