I like the way you think, sir. Sadly, I still don't see any team having the fire power to beat Golden State in a 7 game series unless the injury Gods intervene. I'll still be watching and hoping though!
Ultimately melo wanting to leave > wanting to play in Hou. Our roster really does not have flexibility. Morey lost his man a second time.
You can't do a simple greater than or less than equation for a team sport like basketball. You have to look at how they play together, the rotations, etc. OKC is a definitely a better team than they were last year and with PG and Melo these guys could be very dangerous, but I think we're all over reacting a bit on them being the Warrior beaters.
We could always buy out Ryan if we got desperate (I think). However, I'm hoping he comes back hungry and in better shape, so he can prove his value to the team.
Westbrook>Paul Robertson<Ariza George<Harden Melo>Anderson Adams=Capela Burkes<Gordon Trash<Tucker Trash<Nene Patterson> Black Trash<Ma Boute Trash<Brown Trash<the rest of our trash Why we are better than okc right now.
Only when it comes to scoring. CP3 is a better passer, a FAR better defender, and knows how to run an offense that involves other players.
Not so sure Adams is equal to Capela. Capela had progressed each season and is 22. Adams is at his peak. I feel our team is more balanced and deeper. Our pieces seem to fit together on paper better than OkC, but only time will tell.
The warriors are still the clear cut favorite/best team in the nba, but a lineup of Westbrook Robertson George Melo Adams is going to be a problem for a any team (including the Warriors). That's not say they are going to be absolutely better than the Spurs or Rockets, but it does mean they will have one of the most talented offensive and defensive starting lineup in the league. Robertson, George and Adams are three elite defenders, while Westbrook George and Melo are three elite offensive players. All 5 are either gifted physically and in their physical prime with the exception of Carmelo. Of course how well this exceptional on paper team will perform is going to come down to fit, synergy and focus. IMO OKC is as talented as any team in the NBA, warriors included... but how well will Westbrook, George and Melo fit together offensively? How well can donovan incorporate these three players into a cohesive and complementary system? And lastly, how well can these three focus and not get distracted by their own looming future? All three can or will be free agents at the end of the year, any drama or difficulties during the season will inevitably exacerbate these potential problems.
We are one of the most flexible lineups in the NBA outside of Golden State. What are you talking about?
We have assembled one of the most talented rosters in the NBA. You're never going to have flexibility after acquiring multiple stars and elite role players. Unless the league gift-wraps you cap space like they did for the Warriors.
lulz. You can't compare Roberson to Harden. Compare best players to worst in a ranking Like this Harden >= Westbrook Paul > George Anderson < Melo Ariza > Roberson Capela < Adams
yep they basically wanted to cripple our team, just to make sure we wouldnt be a threat to the warriors. NO way the NBA League office would approve a Ryan Anderson for Melo trade lol But the NBA knows Westbrick is dumb as rocks, and that these stars wont mesh well, but with Harden and CP3's iq along with melo... that makes the warriors stop and think a bit
I want nothing more then for OKC to fail disastrously, with Westbrook, PG and Melo leaving in the off season.
Its not hard to give credits to OKC. They did excellent job this offseson. They get 2 superstars with only 4 scrub players. Rockets get CP3 with almost half team.
Fun to hope for, but they'll be good. I think they're 2nd in the West as it stands today. But we'll see.
It'll be one of the more interesting matchups come playoff time between these two teams. One team with two great playmakers surrounded by great shooting and the other comprising of three great individual offensive talents surrounded by poor to average shooting but good defensive players. CP3 will match up vs Westbrook Ariza will match up vs George Capela will match up vs Adams Harden will match up vs Robertson Anderson will match up vs Melo The rockets will match up relatively well against the Thunders with the exception of Anderson on Melo and any pick and role involving Anderson. The Thunders will have two great defenders to match up against harden but will have problems as every team does when either harden or CP3 initiates the pick and roll. I'd give the edge to OKC in terms of starting lineups, but heavily favor the Rockets bench. Aside from Patrick Patterson, the thunders have a serious lack of quality players of the bench. The Rockets on the other hand can rely offensively and defensively on Gordon, Tucker, Nene and Moute, all proven veterans who can significantly impact the game.
