What a child Melo is for reacting this way on Instagram. Obviously his ego is fragile, doesn’t bode well for pressure situations moving forward. How can a professional athlete with a brand, endorsements and the need to play well this year to get a decent next contract do something so childish on social media? Why should he care about these random comments? He could at least reply “Yule C,” or something.
When Melo signed with Rockets, his twitter page was still playing for OKC Thunder for at least 5 days. I assume that his front page on twitter didn't change until he gave permission for his people to change it. His pictures on his twitter look like it was professionally done and some of his responses don't look like it was from him. When CP3 and Harden welcomed him to the Rockets on twitter, he didn't even respond.

If everyone else jumped off a bridge, would you? Not responding to random internet trolls is a no brainer, especially for a public figure making millions. At the very least he could respond with something original like "you are a flea on the nutsack of society."
Melo, if by some chance, manages to stay on the floor against the Warriors in the playoffs, is going to get trolled so hard by Draymond Green. Draymond will get in his head and completely break him.
Cmon man, this analogy is a little tired and lacks any kind of nuance. Personally, I agree with you, athletes(or famous people in general) shouldnt waste their time with it. But you know what, lots of athletes do now that we have social media. And really it just makes things more entertaining. Whats gonna happen, they gonna cancel Melo's contract cause he said Fu(which is alot less than other athletes have said). I'm not gonna sit and here and say grow up just cause someone responds once in a while to dudes talking trash to them 24/7. That would be way worse than **** you honestly, thank god he didnt say something like that.

You are assuming Green won't be busy trolling Cousins....to get in his head and completely break him. This could very well happen if the Harden and Capela PnR smmokes Cousins, while Green boils in frustration having to watch from the perimeter, checking Olympic Melo. And conversely, if Cousins doesn't play much, then Green will be guarding Capela, like he did this year.
Or when they switch everything and Cousins is on an island with Harden and Paul, he wont see the floor against us(that much) I believe.
No, honestly I was not happy about this at all, Bregs showed some weak ass character there. But he deleted his Twitter account in response, aka learned his lesson. Melo? Seems to be a 'no big deal' habit to him.
