MJ was a horrible three point shooter much of his career especially the first half.

he might have been a good one in today’s era... as he eventually became a decent one... bit we can only go by what we know.

Harden would still score the same amount of points with Jordan in the league or not. MJ would be a top 5 player every year. Duh.

Would Michael Jordan Dominate in todays NBA, I dont believe so. He would be a All Star but not a Superstar. Jordan skill level is slashing and dribbling. Where is his 3 point shot, and moves around the 3 point line. He has none. Just pump fake, and palming the ball. I think Michael Jordan is overrated in the Media.
If Jordan and the Bulls had problems with 3 point shooters on the 1991 - 1995 Rockets teams How can they play a 2 point system versus a 3 point system.

Who would win one on one Hakeem or Jordan. Hakeem will destroy Jordan. The media never brings that narrative.

    One on One
Kareem vs Jordan. Kareem will easily win
Wilt Chamberlain vs Jordan, Wilt easily wins
Hakeem easily wins one on one versus Jordan.

The closest comparison to Jordan in this era is an offensive focused Kawhi Leonard who shoots like Westbrook from the 3. Jordan's career 3pt% is only higher than Westbrook because they shrank the 3pt line.

It's not a coincidence Jordan had career high %s from the 3 when they shrank the 3 point line for 3 years. His fanboys always seems to forget that.

Jordan would still no doubt be a great player in today's game but if he did play today and went up against the KD Warriors, he'd still lose every time unless the Warriors were injured or Jordan also had 3 all-star teammates.

Harden has only ever had 2 times he had an all-star teammate in his time in Houston and you could argue both of those times (Dwight and Westbrook) his running mate was already past his prime. CP3 was too injury prone to make the all-star team and also past his prime. We all feared he would get injured in the playoffs and he did, at the worst time possible.

If the closest comparison to Jordan is Kawhi and closest comparison to Pippen is PG then Rodman is probably closest to Draymond. If Harden had a prime PG and Draymond as his teammates, you can't tell me Harden can't win at least one ring in his time in Houston.

Harden will probably be blamed as the core reason by most fans if he doesn't win a ring here but the truth is Morey has never put enough talent on Harden's team in comparison to who the champions were that year. This is mainly because of bad picks and horrible contracts. Remember, we could've had Kawhi but instead Morey drafted Morris. We even could've had Draymond (that year we had 3 first round picks).

You can say draft picks are complete luck, then I guess the Warriors must be the luckiest team in the history of the NBA getting 2 all-stars (one dpoty) to go with their superstar player in mid to late drafts as well as getting injuries from their opponents every single year they won the ring.

Not that he would "destroy" Harden specifically, but count me as someone to say that Jordan would be as good today as he was then. He was maniacal at getting better, and he tailored his game for the game it was in the 80s/90s. He would have shot 10 trillion threes in the gym to become a good to excellent 3 point shooter, and then he would have used his athleticism to blow by an entire league that can't hand check and don't have centers guarding the rim anymore.

It wouldn't take anything away from Harden...but Jordan would be nailz in any era. He was too much of a maniac blessed with too much talent.

Do you think with his known work ethic he would incorporate it more into his repitore? There are seasons where Reggie Miller took less three point attempts per game than Nikola freaking Jokic. The league was vastly different. Today you have guys who will barely make the Hof average 35 ppg for a month at a time (Damian Lillard). If someone in the 90s was averaging 35 ppg over the course of 14 games, they would be one of the greatest scorers of all time.

Jordan is just flat out more talented than Harden. Harden because of modern development is a better dribbler and has a more sound form on his jump shot but pretty much everything else Jordan is more superior.

Harden really struggles to score in an area that Jordan and Kobe excel at and that's being able to get a good shot off even after losing the dribble or getting a high quality shot of without ever needing to dribble. Those two were far more creative with their scoring and scored from so many different spots on the country, baseline, elbow, outside, inside etc. Their offense was far more difficult predict and gameplan for in a 7 game series.

This is a pretty delusional take. You are comparing shot attempts in completely different eras of basketball. Michael Jordan would be a far better three point shooter today. On top of that he would be far more athletic, far more body control, just as strong etc. When you have guys like Jokic taking more threes point attempts per game in some seasons than Reggie Miller, then you know it's two different eras of basketball.

The absurd part of Jordan's scoring efficiency was that he was able to get 60% true shooting for four straight seasons averaging above 30 ppg while taking SIGNIFICANLTLY less three point shots than Harden and having a lower ftr than Harden. The guy got his high true shooting percentage from just flat out making buckets. By far the best scorer the league has ever seen. Usually that means you are more dependable in crunch time situations during the playoffs when teams hack like crazy and refs swallow the whistle.

That's why I still believe someone like KD is still a better pure scorer than Harden. KD relies less on fouls and 3pt volume for high scoring efficiency. Like Jordan, his scoring efficiency relied on making buckets.

Harden's playoff performance is more reflective of where he should be ranked all time as a scorer which would be around 5-10 all time.

How about this. You aren't even a fan of basketball if you think Harden is a more talented scorer than Jordan let alone a Rockets fan. That's if we want to play these stupid no true Scott games.
