Max Kellerman said James Harden is a Choker in the Playoffs

As long as he has these ghastly playoff games without a ring, they're going to keep saying that. He needs to get it done this year, or it will continue to circulate, fair or not. Can't afford games like Saturday against Golden State.

Historically there is an argument to be made that he definitely faded and was not a leader but this year my dude is rolling right now excluding game 3.

Harden refuses to take any midrange shots and this makes him easier to plan against in the playoffs. Harden needs to diversify his offense, otherwise he's always going to choke when put under a microscope. Also seems to have some kind of mental issue where if you rattle Harden early in the game and throw him off his rhythm, he goes full r****d mode. When things go bad, it goes really bad for Harden.

 

Max reads Clutchfans. He knows he has to keep you guys on the edge, otherwise y'all won't click his videos or watch on ESPN.

 

Harden is once again held to a standard far above any other player in the NBA.

Agree on this. Definitely lost his focus in that game. Definitely needs to work on a "stop and pop" of sorts where he cuts in front of the defender "defending" him from behind and either make them run it to him and foul him or rise up in front of them from the free throw line.

He was able to get in a floater or alley oop to Capela before Rudy could get there but the Jazz must have changed something in GM 3 because Rudy was all over him any time he stepped in the lane and Harden's decision making was way off. Let's hope he can put that crap game behind him and figure out ways to play winning basketball when teams play him a certain way.

Can't have many more games like that especially against the Warriors. If he does have a game like that again, please give more touches to Chris Paul instead of watching Harden's futile attempts to score. Maybe figure out ways to free Harden up instead of ISO'ing him so much when he is struggling?
