I don't think CP3 is 100% at all. He's lost a lot of quickness and speed and it's evident.

On every drive he's trying to bull his way through defenders instead of dribbling past them. I also feel like on every drive he takes a lot of body contact because he can't get entirely past defenders.

Scary to think the choice we have this summer to give him a full max for five years. I'm glad I'm not the one making that decision.

Pretty sure he is hurt. Ankle or knee or whatever it was after that game. Hopefully it was just some minor swelling and it's calmed down now.

 

Ignoring what these guys think...

CP3's shooting has not been great from deep. He had the 8-10 closeout against Utah, and has gone 2-7, 1-5 and 2-8 this series. His 2 games before the 8-10 game were 1-7 and 1-6. So in 5 of his last 6 games he's a combined 7-33. He's 8-10 in the other one. He's at 3,6,4 assists this series. He's doing an ok job protecting the ball - 1,3,2 turnovers. He's getting some steals. But he's picking up fouls this series - 4,5,4. In the previous 10 playoff games he had more than 3 fouls only twice.

Add the left calf issue. Plus he only played in 5 of the last 11 games to end the regular season.

I conclude that he's old, that he's got a nagging injury that doesn't help, and that the GSW are really good, offensively and defensively.

Hope he "shows up". But I'd be ok with a high efficiency 18 and 6 and solid defense, 2 or fewer turnovers.

Yeah, he may be hurt, but it should be noted that he wasn't lighting it up against Utah, either, EXCEPT for the close-out game.

His gamescores - not great, granted, but best measure we have to gauge an individual game - are:

13 playoff games. 1 great. 3 pretty good (in the 20s). 6 average at best (10-20 gamescore). 2 bad.

He just needs to be better.
