Clippers get nothing in return, and should make them weaker this year. DAJ will make about as much as he would have if he had opted in. DAJ leaves next year and comes home for the minimum or one of our exceptions. Mavs will then get nothing in return, other then ruining their lotto position by fielding a semi competitive team this year.
I can't believe the dumpster fire that is now the LA Clippers, lmao. Beverly, Gortat, Dekker, Harrell, Doc Rivers total control, wow...
no options for capela's max unless his agent asks the hawks, kings, or pacers to let him sign the offer knowing the rockets will match. like do me a favor and ill send my other clients your way. but that's a long shot. clint will probably get a decent offer from the bulls or nets but it will be maybe half the max. he will have to decide on taking that on a 1+1 deal or accepting the QO and trying again next year. either way this is great for the rockets
My question is how does he know that he has a “verbal agreement” before free agency starts so that he opts out of 24 million? Yes I know players can talk to each other and there is alot that goes on under the table but this seems like it could be more easily proven as tampering.
Dammit, completely forgot about that. Looks like they only have a second rounder next year if it's within the top 55.
