Kid is incredible. He seems to lack that personality to really become that superstar that everyone will pull for, but damn he is good at golf. It was nice seeing Tiger play well again, the sport hasn't been the same since 2008. Weird saying that, but it would be nice to see Tiger get back in the hunt.
Jordan Spieth is finally someone I can cheer for. Very humble and likable. His ball-striking these past few days is up there with some of the best performances ever.
What was holding you back from cheering for players? I mean, the last two days are obviously a great accomplishment, but it's not like the PGA has been a wasteland of offensive participants shooting 11 over par.
I feel like the PGA gains so much momentum with the Masters and the U.S. Open... and it all fizzles with the British Open and the final forgotten major (the austrailian open of golf). Speith is nailz... lets just say Houston prepared him for this.
Spieth has been on a nice run, so he's legit, but I would love to see him crumble because that becomes the fun story here. We need a catastophic player like Mickelson used to be. I root for Tiger, so glad to see him back to his A game.
This is the real test of Spieth's mettle. He may think he can afford to play conservative when necessary but you can't really afford any mistakes if the course is going to be opened up. If the other guys can reach the par 5s in 2 then he will have to stay aggressive.
Tiger is so important in regards to getting golf back to where it was. He has played well the last two rounds and if he can repeat the performance today, then you might have to rank him as a contender for the next major. His iron play the last two days has been Tiger of the 2000's good.
People really still root for Tiger? Dude is so annoying with the club throwing, the cussing, etc. Like grow up man. You're a golfer. I hope Speith wins. Dude is awesome. Phil winning would also be cool as well but I'm all for the new guy on the scene.
Wished it would have been a tighter race on Sunday but it was exciting being there for a historical score...although would have been even better had he sunk that putt on 18. We did give him a good old "Texas Fight!" on the 14th.
