    I hope this isn't a foreshock to a larger quake - Alaska, Chile, Indonesia, Japan seem to have had major quakes before their respective 9.0+. The earthquake scale is logarithmic so the power of a 9+ is hard to fathom - they are powerful enough to very slightly alter the Earth's rotation. The 9.5 in Chile must have been utterly surreal.

    Lived there in the 80's and still have plenty of FB friends there. The aftershocks are unheard of. Already 330, most of which have been over 4.0.

    Oh, and RR, learn to shut it when you have zero idea what you're talking about.

    I lived in Valdez, which was so devastated in 64, they abandoned it and moved 4 miles away which is where the port currently is. The original city was left in ruins.
