Funny - I always thought Serena Williams was the black female Iron Man. I never could figure out why they let her compete in the suit, though.

These comic book companies are so pathetic.

Why not make all of them transgendered, pan sexual, albino, midget hermaphrodites as well? Cover the entire spectrum.

ScarJo is the highest grossing female actor? Did Lucy make that much money? I don't think people came to watch Avengers just for Black Widow. If that's the case Stan Lee is the highest grossing male actor of all time.

Nobody questioned that there are aliens, gorillas, or gods, because that's normal, lol.

Played by a white dude and voiced by a black dude. Must be envy. But not gonna blame Lucas since he originally wanted a black Han Solo but the studios wanted a white dude.

I think it was meant to be pandering to Asians as Marvel viewed the Ancient One as a racial stereotype. However, they have ended up offending people they were trying to pander.

Oh, you guys readin' a lot of Iron Man comics these days? Didn't think so. Let 'em switch things up and make Spider-Man a gay Martian and put ****in' Jughead in a Zoroastrian wheelchair. If it makes them a buck, mission accomplished. They only pull these stunts so they can run THE RETURN OF TONY STARK!!! a year from now plus keep his new sidekick lady around, too, and tell some stories they haven't already done in the 50 years they've been cranking this crap out. And you won't read any of that, nor would you ever read Iron Man comics under any circumstance, so who cares?

You know that's not all. Guess what DC is doing? They have a Chinese person as a Superman and they just launched a Green Lantern with a Hispanic woman and get this, a Muslim Man! I mean where is this country heading? And I think that Astro dog is a communist. (Somebody got around to watching Trumbo)

Whatever you think about them pandering might ring a bit true for the publicity but I wonder if these companies want to welcome new readers and children to their books that reflect every one. Why do the use pre existing characters the majority of the time? Because they are recognizable and if I'm a Asian, black, Hispanic, or combo that also is Muslim who likes comics I would immediately be attached to the comic because not only am I being represented, but being represented with a well known title. There is nothing wrong with change.

I see people get mad about changes to characters but the only one that has made me mad was Jim Gordon as Batman. That was the dumb. No one can tell me different. Also Batman fought a plant. Stupid forward thinking comics.

The thing that is funny is. . . . THEY DID NOT MAKE TONY STARK BLACK AND FEMALE
they simply have someone DIFFERENT in the suit.
    Tony Stark is still around

Heck. . . they just Killed Rhodey for no other reason than to start the Civil War II

(Both Civil Wars had black men die first. . . *frown*)

Exactly, let's make sure we fill the black superhero quota first before we worry about the other minorities.

If GoT can have a midget hero, why not comic book heroes?
