So he made a mistake choosing a young team with a promising superstar over an aging team with a superstar declining and possibly retiring in 2 or 3 years...!!

    ummmm, interesting

Come on, what else do you expect the guy to say? He owns a different franchise, of course he thinks that his team will do better. And, not for nothing, I'm pretty sure it was the Mavericks, not the Rockets, who won their most recent title. Say what you will about him as an owner, but he at least cares about his team winning.

Also, as others have said, I'm pretty sure he isn't being completely serious. He's just towing the party line.

Anybody expected Cuban to say D12 made the right choice by choosing Houston?

LOL, really? He honestly struggles with delusions of greatness. Someone should tell him that it was probably the video that nailed it for Dwight.

Some of you guys TOTALLY TOTALLY missed the point here, the problem is Mark Cuban thought it was a "Cool Presentation".

I think Cuban's just embarrassed he chose Houston more than anything. It seems like there's been a powershift in Texas and the Mavericks are at the bottom of totem pole:grin:

Hey Mark, here's a free tip. Next time you try to reel in a star, let them be the one holding the Trophy in the video. Not you.

Mistake is what everything Cuban's done since 2011, starting with the disassembling of a championship team. The Mavs are set for mediocrity for years to come.

What is it about Dallas and delusion of grandeur? Cuban needs a vacation to a third world country where no one cares how rich he is or how important he thinks he is.

Ha! Since he has been owner he has only won one ring and that was by sheer luck or because he paid off/blew someone that mattered. He gas spent endless amount of money to only have won just 1 ring. All the big names, and all the years of blowing every big free agent that he could get to sign in dallas and Stern...? He only has one ring that everyone puts a big question mark over. He is by far the most over rated owner in the nba. The whole Mavericks franchise is over rated.

The Lakers also won a title more recently, doesn't mean Howard was a fit for them either. Heck, not for nothing, I'm pretty sure it was the Rockets, not the Mavericks, who made their most recent playoff appearance. So I don't get what you mean by that. Anybody who has listened to Cuban over the years knows the guy is 100% serious.

yeah, I though the combination of Chandler, Dirk, and Terry work very well. I don't remember the math but I would have attempted to stay with that nucleus for another run. I can see after that season how somebody would think that you could surround Dirk with anything and he would bring a championship. After that season, I don't think Dirk has worked as hard or he was a his absolute peak because it seamed like he single handedly beat the big three of Miami and he was the last to do so.

Cuban doesn't realize that Dirk is never going back to that and he will stick with Dirk forever, to the benefit of all other teams in the NBA. I'm O.K. with that. I love that the Lakers feel that they are stuck to Kobe and have to pay him 30+ million. Honestly, if the Rockets can be on the same boat 7-9 years from now (Harden or Dwight) because we have several new championship, I'll be O.K. with that. For now, I'll laugh at the Lakers and Dallas at the awkward position they are in.

This gif is amazing, but I don't have the power to rep, so take my personal praise instead!
