Here's an article from the Buffalo News saying Mario Williams is considering having wrist surgery during the Bills' bye week this week. The article doesn't mention if he'll miss any time.

How long does it take to recover from wrist surgery? Can he get healthy enough for the game against the Texans?

Speaking of surgery, Brian Cushing will have his ACL surgery on Thursday. Dr. James Andrews will perform the operation in Pensacola. Andrews did Adrian Peterson's ACL surgery and that turned out pretty well. Let's hope the same happens for Cushing.

This is starting to become a trend. Jacobi didn't play against us either.

He can afford to take a day. Especially while working for the Buffalo Bills.

Oh, he was certainly on the field. He marked the game on his calendar. But no one, not even his mother, could confuse his presence at the game, in a jersey, with actual game play. As always, he did what he does best: steal money while doing nothing.

You're right....Jacobi didn't play against us. Unfortunately for Joe Marciano however, Jacoby Jones did.

30+ yard average on kickoff returns including a 40+ yarder? It would be nice if the Texans could get that kind of production from their kickoff return team.

Huh?? Jacoby had 6 kick returns for a total of 196 yards. That comes out to an average of almost 33 yards per return, and he had a big one of almost 50 yards. He definitely played well enough in special teams to make an impact, and so far this season, he's been a huge addition for them as a receiver. He's certainly not stealing money from the Ravens at all. In fact, if he would have had even half a season here in Houston like the one he is having for Baltimore, he may still be a Texan right now.

You really have to wonder if Buffalo is going to keep Mario.

It would've also been nice if Jacoby Jones actually caught a few balls vs the Ravens last year in the play offs instead of having a really off day and helping us win.

    3.5 sacks through 7 games?

I really don't think that's as disappointing of a season as everyone is making it out to be. It's not like Mario was an all-world defensive end before he signed there. He was very good, but was he worth being the highest paid defensive player? For some reason, his price got really steep, and the Texans were smart not to keep him.

He's always-injured, and that's been a convenient excuse that he's never piled up 18 sacks in a season. I mean, 14 and 12 are not bad for totals, but his injuries have limited him from taking the next step to greatness his whole career. Honestly, it was a gamble (and probably a bad one) by Buffalo to sign him to a contract worthy of only the elite defensive lineman in the game.

That said, I would have been glad to keep him (but not for what Buffalo paid). I really think he would have flourished in Wade's system. Props to the Texans for realizing that he wasn't a necessity at that price.
