    Rockets had interest in Speights in the past per @Codman. A range shooting 5. He would have limitations in the Rockets switching defense.

    There are a number of better 5 options out there.

    Chandler, Noah, Kofas, Williams, Pachulia and Amir Johnson.

    The Rockets would like a 5 that can shoot for certain line ups, but that usually means a 4 playing the 5.

    Man, love you guys, we have gotten to the point, that we want Morey to sign anyone... just to see if people in the front office are alive and awake... or at least if they know free agency has even started...,

    What does it say that the Rockets haven't signed Tyson Chandler yet if there is interest and a need? Perhaps that is connected to the fact Rivers, House and Green have not signed their deals yet.

    Yea, Speights might be the best shooter of the bunch as he is a solid shooter, but probably the worst defender. A guy like Noah or Johnson would make sense to help with rebounding and in the case of Johnson also be a very nice roll man and with Noah, be a passer from the middle of the floor.

    I've always liked Speights as a bu... suggested him in the past... but not sure what he has left in the tank at this point...
